I thought it was a decent half overall to be honest, though some players aren't playing well or even appear interested. We created enough chances to be at least leading though.

Can't imagine Palace withstanding pressure for another 45 minutes. They're bound to make a mistake and I think our goal is a matter of when not if. I just hope we don't feck up.

Matic holds onto the ball far too long to then pass it sideways or backwards, we need to up the tempo.

Where the heck is van de Beek?! On the bench vs Chelsea, nowhere to be seen tonight

We have one player who knows what to do on the ball.

Bruno, Rashford and Greenwood have been making inexplicable decisions all game.

Yet more clear evidence our team is not coached properly. I feel bad for all you lot deluded enough to think Ole is the best we could do.

We are in dire form. 3 wins since Jan 12th in the Prem. And this game isn't looking good right now

Light years away from a title challenge.

Poor in possession, no movement and zero creativity.

I agree we need a centre back and a centre forward but boy do we need some more flair and attacking creativity.

    Sancho?

With a bit of luck that fog descends thicker and the second half is called off or the cameras can't see through it then we won't be able to see half the crap passing.

Halftime. We've been better. Goals will eventually come. And if we can keep them from scoring we will win this.

For the bilion times Rashford and Greenwood. Stop trying to go past 3-4 players. Pass and move. Pass and move. PASS AND MOVE.
In fairness, when they’ve tried to dribble they haven’t had many passing options. When they’ve got it, it’s generally been about 5 seconds later than they should have.

Bruno nowhere to be seen in the game. It’s his job to be getting the ball to them and he isn’t.

Any game where Maguire is on the ball as much as he is tonight turns into this slow paced shit.

Poor first half. No tempo, no creativity, loosing posession several times, and dropping too deep.

So Matic drops into the back line and wonders why there isn't anybody to pass to in midfield - absolute shite football tactics !

What tactics do we actually use? Genuine question? You see City play with craft and purpose, even Pool had that high tempo press until it got found out abit this season but what do actually do in training?

Just hope Shaw or AWB can overlap and get a cross in?

Think we need to start throwing some random kids into matches like this.

Let's gets some raw passion and energy that is unpredictable and hasn't been schooled out of them by the OGS coaching team.

Just so sloppy. Still amazed that people think Cavani is a positive signing.

Henderson has looked solid in the very little he has had to do. Thats the only positive I can manage find in that half.

It is funny that the complaints about Rashford earlier in the season was that he wasn’t running at people enough. Now the complaints are that he’s doing it too much

But it doesn't feel like there is a plan. We go wide and it's crossed in without a proper plan in place.
That was a peach of a cross mate and nobody even trying - only person in the box is Cavani.

when the ball is switched to the right rashford is literally walking on the outside of the box just watching it?

I feel like he’s been watching messi play and has copied the walking part, but not much else.

Bruno and Rashford should have scored. We should be 2.0 up despite the overall dire football

So poor. Our tactics are just score a flukey goal and then hit them on the counter. That is essentially our game plan.

Greenwood put in a lovely cross early on and no one was in the box. How many times has that happened this season.

Cannot see anything as well with the stupid mist.

    What a load of shite

Worse than anything I’m generally bored, what a crap half of football.
We rarely beat teams convincingly anymore, so not surprised this was going to be another dull game of football.

We are sat so deep, matic is making a back 3 against a team that wants to sit back?!

ole needs to sort this shit out. Get matic off, push bruno deeper and bring on James or Amad.

we need to win this not another poxy draw
Get James on a take off Greenwood.

Can't believe I stayed up to watch this shit. It's 5am and our football is working better than the pills in making me go to bed.

That was dull and boring, wretched performance so far apart from Shaw, yet we could have scored a goal or two with a bit of luck.

We need some actual width. Look at how city break these shits down, they have overlapping runs to the byline. What do we have? Nothing, it’s all being played in front of their back line and that’s just the way they like it.

We ain’t doing much better. Have no idea why Benteke continues to get starts and watching McCarthy lay it back to the defenders when he’s got time and space to turn is almost enough to make me kick the baby

    What chances did I miss?

The coaching is the problem. I refuse to believe that most of these players can't make simple passes.

We really could do with better coaching to break down defences. Our forwards can't keep putting their heads down and barrelling into opponents ad infinitum.

There's a drill we do. You see it before games in the stands. Someone gets the ball wide, they bull it back, someone else takes a touch and someone runs on to it to shoot. We've basically tried to do that every time we've attacked. Even when there's a chance to turn and shoot, the man on the ball will look for a lay off. Its like watching robots. So often we default to this. I wish someone would just decide to test the Palace keeper. A deflected shot can end up anywhere. I'd rather watch pot shots than see us play like a LVG team.
