Fred started off really bad and looked nervous but hasn't looked too bad after the first 15 minutes I think. No need to sub him out already.Fred is growing into the game. A bit of breathing and a talk from Ole will do him good for the second 45.Painful to watch at times but we're not giving Palace an inch. Gardner??Crap game, but with the team out any win today would be fantastic. Need to tighten up defensively, the lack of familiarity on the right side of our team combined with an inexperienced pairing(at PL) has caused a few issues with runs not being tracked.
Lindelof and Smalling have been good again, Fred struggling not a surprise given how little he has played, pushing him to correct his positioning was key as he kept dropping into a deep left spot, clogging up the space Utd wanted Shaw to exploit.
* shots - 1 in 6 shots decent?
* general ball control - 0/10 no joke
* passing - once he's got the grenade under control...he actually can pass/cross.
* hold up ability low passes - disgraceful. built like a brick house, more like degraded cinder block.
* hold up ability aerial - see the above and extend to this. the ball bounces off him like a golf ball on concrete
* willing runner - not really. should run the channels often and come away from the centre, rarely does.
* dribbling ability - so so, if they give him space he's fine. if not, it's like that horse playing with the ball GIF.
so, overall...is he Manchester United quality.

Why Pogba and not Sanchez on the right ?
Pogba is amazing on the left. Sanchez awful since 13 months here. Weird !So Pogba with another half where he's our main ball winner. 4 tackles that half, Ander would be proud of that. Not quite his best going forward but still easily our best CM
McTominay has done pretty well on the ball. Decent first touch and fairly good decision making. Not very impressed with his defensive positioning and challenging still, won the ball 0 times with tackles, interceptions and clearances that half. He did win 2 headers though the most in the team. Think Pogba winning the ball so much is helping him a lot
Fred? Well, lets start with the decentish part. He did make 1 tackle that half, and I believe I saw him recover another ball at another point. He's had our 2nd most touches...
But the bad part is he looks a nervous wreck. A lack of composure, decision making quite poor trying to pull out hollywood passes but failing to convert them. McTominay is attempting indie passes in comparison, but he's getting them right most of the time and that helps us more. Fred needs to relax and make sure that he gets what hes trying right before he tries the hollywood stuffDisjointed game, which is no surprise with the injury list.
