Hopefully Dalot can show the board how good a team we can be if we get a goor RW option. Not expecting him to be amazing but at least give CP something to think about.

Would love Fred to have a great game above all others.

People saying our squad is really weak, but look at tonight's team:

DDG probably no1 in the world, value, close to £100m cost £22.5m 8 years ago
Dalot, the 'Best young player in his position in Europe' (JM), cost £19.8m
Smalling, England international, been at United since 2010/11 cost £7.2m
    Linderlof, cost £31.5m
Shaw, record transfer fee for a teenager, cost £33.75m
Young, Team captain, played in World Cup, 8 years ay the club, cost £16.2m
McTomminay, full Scottish international, came through the youth ranks.
    Fred, cost £53.1m
Pogba, World Cup winner, cost £94.5m
Lukaku, Experienced premier league striker cost £76.23m
Sanchez, arguably Arsenals best player when we bought him for £30.6m

That's nearly £400m in transfer fees, God knows how many international caps ? Over 1,200 league appearance for United, how many teams can match that with 8/9 'first teamers' missing.
On another point only maybe 5 of the injured players would get in ahead of this team Rashford-Martial-Matic- Herrera-Lingard ? And Rashford is actually on the bench.
Come on guys, this team is good enough to beat Palace, Olé at the wheel.

If Rashford was fit he wouldn't be on the bench so hopefully Ole will keep him there and not have another incident like Lingard

Agreed. But If we need a goal, he might be forced to chuck Marcus on. If we're comfortably leading, give Chong or Garner a cameo

Probably a 3-5-2? Smalling, Shaw, Lindelof as CBs. Young, Dalot WBs and a midfield of Fred, McTominay and Pogba?

    It's not calculated that way.

In reality Dalot is inexperienced and haven't played much first team football, Young is mostly poor, Scott is average, Fred has been very disappointing, Lukaku has been trash and Sanchez is past it player.

Squad being good or not is something you can only evaluate based on their current form on the pitch.

Edit : Also Smalling isn't England international any more.

The fact that we're unbeaten in 21 games against Palace and on the brink of a club record of 8 consecutive away wins worries me. Hate it when these facts get trotted about to potentially jinx it :(

MUTV also saying Young RW and Dalot RB.

Feeling good to see Fred in starting 11. I have a feeling he will do just fine today.

    Young and dalot wing backs

    ——Lindelöf—Smalling—Shaw
    Young——Fred—-McTominay—-dalot
    ———————-Pogba
    ————Lukaku——Sanchez

What channel is this on? I just need to know the name of any channel in any country, but preferable english

We didn't pay anything for Sanchez iirc.

That has to be one of the youngest squads for a league game in a very very long time.

I doubt it. The bench is youthful but the starting XI is actually probably on the older side for us these days, with Young (33), Sanchez (30), Smalling (29) and De Gea (28) bringing the age up. Pogba, Lukaku and Fred are all 25, and Lindelof 24. Shaw and McTominay might be inexperienced but they're not teenagers any more, 23 and 22 respectively.

Can't be bothered to do the maths but some of LVG's squads must have been younger, with teenagers aplenty on the bench and in the starting XI.

    Never convinced about Dalot.
Fred, Sanchez and Lukaku must step up and prove a point.

Finally, Fred is starting:lol:. It has been awhile. I will be watching him closely. Lukaku will thrive of Young crosses.

People complain about how weak this team is, but this first eleven is packed with players who have huge wages and a point to prove. I m very excited for this game. Sucks that I have to watch it on a stream though

United starting XI vs Palace confirmed
Starting line-up: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw; McTominay, Fred, Pogba; Sanchez, Young, Lukaku

SUBS: Romero, Bailly, Rojo, Garner, Pereira, Chong, Rashford
Got 10/11. Had Pereira starting instead of Dalot.
