    Think it'll be:

    Romero
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Herrera Schneiderlin/Carrick
    Januzaj Fellaini Young
    Hernandez?
Maybe Memphis starting or Rooney ahead of Hernandez and Januzaj/Young. Tough one really.

    Shaw

    Schweinsteiger

Prediction is now a stab in the dark. I expect to drop many places in the table tomorrow.

What channel is this on? I was full sure BT were advertising this all week but they're showing the Celtic match now? What's going on there?

Edit: got my days mixed up. I thought today was wednesday

I'm going with Romero, Darmian, Mike, Blind, Shaw, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, (my word per minute typing speed is awful when typing those two and I'm normally around 70), Fellaini, Memphis, Mata, Rooney.

if we're going to "rest" certain players this week, does it make more sense to rest them on Wednesday or Saturday against Swansea?

If the worst should happen and we struggle tomorrow, does anybody know if the away goal rule kicks in after 90 minutes or extra time?

    I expect

    ---------Romero----------
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    ----Mata Rooney Depay---
    ---------Fellaini-----------

    Sub: Hernandez, Valencia and Carrick

    I expect

    ---------Romero----------
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    ----Mata Rooney Depay---
    ---------Fellaini-----------

    Sub: Hernandez, Valencia and Carrick

    1. Valencia isn't in the squad.

    3. Thank me.

    Romero
    Darmian Blind Smalling Shaw
    Carrick Schneiderlin
    Mata Fellaini Memphis
    Rooney

Almost certain that is what it will be. I think Schweinsteiger would've started but I've not read in anything about his knock against Newcastle

I've got a feeling he could go with this tonight

Must we play with Fellaini at "10"? I'd prefer Chicharito in front of Rooney.

Hoping he changes it up a bit, three games in eight days gives me slight hope!

Gk and back four as usual

    Hope for some pace
    Rooney
    Memphis Herrea young/januzaj
    Schweinsteiger schniederlin

Think that'd be a fairly dynamic six

I think he will play Herrera at 10. Having a midfield trio of the two schs and him would be great to control possession and ensure we don't concede while giving us a reasonable chance of scoring 1-2 goals with Depay , Rooney and Mata strikers and Herrera supporting them. Would be a perfect approach in my view given that we don't need to force the issue.

You assume Fellaini isn't good with his feet, I don't agree. I'd play Young & Januzaj wide of him with Hernandez up top, but VG will have to go with Rooney..
I was going for sarcasm there, Rooney as a #10 is atrocious, people - particularly pundits still carry this notion that Rooney has vision and can see things other players can't.

Fellaini and Carrick in Basti and Adnan out - that's the team I predicted.

Think it's going to be a really tricky fixture, a fair few of our players are pretty inexperienced at Champions league level so we will need to be on guard in a hostile ground.

I agree with others, this is a game Fellaini should start, they clearly didn't enjoy playing against him during the first leg, so more of the same please.

I would have also liked to have had a look at Herrera playing in the Mata role, playing slightly to the right but cutting inside.
