Have no problems with that line up. We obviously need to rotate. Thought Martial would have been rested as well.
Just a shame that Greenwood was ill for this game. Could have been a start for him.

When are people going to stop banging on about a back 5. It's not...

Otherwise yeah, little underwhelmed by Periera and Lingard to say the least.

If we go one down this place is going to be murders

    The midfield looks, ummm, interesting.

I think it's okay - Pereira playing the Fred role, Mata playing #10. Pereira's never that great at CM though, so it'll be interesting.

Looking at the positives, can’t remember the last time I’ve been able to say that’s a strong bench.

Wish I didn't have a mouth full of food when I read that...
So many of you still don't understand or accept squad rotation. These guys aren't machines. They got the shit kicked out of them against Chelsea just a few days ago (Martial, James, AWB, Fred) so there has to be rotation. Even if United lose, it's still the first leg. Looking for a tight match and could end up nil-nil, which would be a good result for United. Expect some of these players to be leggy.

Martial, Matic, and Shaw or Williams to be subbed off as second half subs should be looking ahead for Sunday's match against Watford.

This. I think people just look for reason to moan. I got 9 out of 11, thought he'd go with Bruno and Ighalo to start, but I'm betting they sub in second half.

This guy will just never be given a chance will he? I get that people have made their mind up now, which is fair enough but feck me, this is really tedious.

Not the best team but its pretty much what I expected. He was always going to make changes for this. What's happened to Greenwood? Is he injured? I hope not. Thought he'd start for sure. Ighalo I'd expect to get a lot more minutes than the other night.

Thought we'd at least get the fun of Ighalo starting.

I think best cast scenario is that if we get early goals we could throw him in for Martial in the last 30 mins. For Ighalo this is a mini pre season. He had last played in December if I am not wrong.

Just saw the team. Bet hes going for a 0 0 with that lineup. No faith in us scoring with that lineup

I think they know Bruges will come on really strong in the opening. We have to keep them at bay and quieten their crowd.

It won't be pretty but it's Europe and a draw won't the worst as long as it's a scoring one. Remember Jose's run to the Europa win...all those fantastic teams we beat 1-0 etc. Scintillating football wasn't it?

Did he stumble on it, or is it due to the lack of personnel?

    Worked against Chelsea

It worked but because a set piece and a special moment from Martial. It dont think this 3-5-2 is very strong in attack. It is mostly just kick i lt forward and hope for Martial to do something.

Hopefully Ole goes back to a 4-3-3 when players come back to fitness.

It is also a personal thing i guess, just not a fan of 5-3-2 or 3-5-2

Annoyingly shit team. Doubt we’ll get spanked but still. We don’t have the biggest squad so I can see why he’s rotating. I’d take a draw here if it meant we got 3 points against Watford.

Why has he not rested Maguire then he has played every match this season

VVD has played every league game and every CL game for Liverpool. Why can Maguire or other defenders not do the same?

Oh you mean the 3-5 times we’ve seen them get 10 minute cameos? Let’s continue with a 27 year old who has done worse for over a year.
No the several times I've watched them in the U23s where they've hardly set the world alight at a much lower level.

Remember how poor Chong was in Astana? Not to mention they both seem to want out. Feck em!

Ah for feck sake I didn't realise this was a 6pm KO. I just arranged to meet my girlfriend for a drink thinking it would pass the time until KO. Now she's going to be complaining that I'm on my phone

People acting like Bruno should be fresh cause we just signed him, like he hasn't played 28 games this season for Sporting already

I'd say that's the least of her complaints, Pexbo.

If he doesn't rotate, he's incompetent and he's running the players to the ground.

If he does rotate, he is just setting the team up to fail and does not want to win the tie.

    Make your minds up people!

I would have liked to see a stronger team but i understand the changes. Hopefully it works out and we come back with a win from Brugge.

Lingard is my hero. Everyday I see him wear the United Jersey fills me with hope that you can spectacularly fail upwards in life.
