Expecting a draw today, given we don't have a central midfielder other than than fletcher.

Are the new signings Di Maria, Blind or Rojo legitimately ready for this game or is there still some paperwork to be done?
What about Shaw and Herrera? Iam just asking I haven't watched the pre match press conference

Blind hasn't even been completed yet. Rojo has no work permit yet.

    Di Maria is available.

Bugger missed the lineups prediction deadline.

    Here is what I predict:

    De Gea

    Valencia
    Jones
    Evans
    Blackett
    Young

    Fletcher
    Di Maria

    Mata

    RVP
    Rooney

Only Di Maria of those is available.
Shaw and herrera - Still injured
Rojo - Still needs work permit
Blind - Hasn't been signed yet

Yeah, I don't think a draw would be a terrible result despite the pressure it'd put us under. We'll be playing catch up on the teams we're expected to compete with until next year, but who knows how it could go from there and it's early days.

However, this is still Burnley, the team expected to finish bottom. If we can get van Persie, Rooney, Di Maria, and Mata to attack their defence, there should be little they can do to stop us scoring more than once. It just comes down to if we can do the job at the other end or keep possession enough for that not to matter.

I see this either going down the route of 1-1, 2-2, or we could literally put three or four past them if we get in front early and romp it.

Any chance of Herrera making this one? Would be ideal to give him a run out before the international break but then again I am not sure how he is progressing.

Welcome to the PL Di Maria... and the shit Turf Moor pitch!

It's pretty shit that none of our signings are available apart from Di Maria. And although Di Maria is the most high profile of those signings he won't help us to sure up the central midfield/defence to the extent that we require. Be interesting to see where he is played, centrally or wide?

Everything I've heard suggests that Herrera is out. Not heard one report that's said he could be fit unfortunately.

    RVP
    Rooney

If he goes again with that lineup, I just want to bash my head, drop Valencia young and RVP, and start janazaj mata di Maria and Rooney in a 4231

@Niall any chance we could have a list of injured players on the right hand side of this page to stop people asking the same questions over and over again about whether certain players are injured or mot?

Love how people are asking whether Blind will be ready for this  Hasn't even signed yet and it's an hour before the game.

Excited for the game. Excited for United to show up and give me a performance. I want to see the players fight and rise up to the occasion.... Against Burnley!! I'm not asking for much...

Burnley will be hard to play against with our current injuries. I think we'll draw this 1-1.

#mufc starting XI: De Gea, Jones, Evans, Blackett, Valencia, Young, Fletcher, Di Maria, Mata, Rooney, van Persie.

My prediction was correct. Cock out.
