Burnley look composed in possession, are able to progress the ball from their own third to the edge of our box with total ease, can press and win tackles all over the park and look dangerous in the final quarter.

We are non of those things.
    Bruno has spared our blushes.

We are in front, but we’re shit.
We need a complete turn around in the 2nd and a couple of changes.
McT and Rashford are not contributing anything.
Casemiro looks isolated and static, when Burnley are progressing through the middle.

    .

Sherwood being a right cnut during the break. “Don’t know why United replaced a golden glove winner with Onana. Even David used to hoof the ball in opposition off” - he’s not wrong but sounding too bitter

We must improve sharply or we’ll drop points tonight.

Bruno finished that one. Not the first one. People’s biases are unreal.
Biased how? That makes no sense… how can you be biased about something or someone from the same team. We want them all to do well obvs but Rashford has been awful yet again… doesn’t sprint back or anything. If you wanna talk about being biased then why’s he not getting the same stick Martial does?

A class goal but other than that we have been poor. Too many opportunities given because we just fall off our man. I wonder if it's just a lack of intelligence because surely we can't just be this lazy every week with all the pressure.

I actually felt we held our shape well for the first five minutes and it kept Burnley in their own half. We stole the ball of them within the first minute to give Rashford a half chance. Then we decided to try and press every time Burnley had the ball and failed each time. Bruno runs himself into the ground but he has failed to stop a single pass this game. Hopefully Amrabat gets an opportunity this half and we can hold our shape rather than running in and making them look like Pep era Barca.

How many more chances is Scott McTominay going to get? He's so below the level it isn't even funny. Opposition teams and fans must be laughing their heads off at the fact he's still here and has so many appearances. Dreadful player
This should be it for him. He's been absolutely outplayed by Hannibal and is failing at every duty assigned to him. Think once Mainoo is back, McTominay is fully cooked and in the interim, we'll see Amrabat and Eriksen in his place.

No striker will work in this set up. We don't create chances for one.
We can't blame always everybody else. Strikers can be involved in build up but Hojlund and Rashford are not doing it. So far, Hojlund didn't manage to hold up any ball which would allow others to come in attacking phase. Rashford when gets a ball just goes straight on the goal.

If you just put a very aggressive mobile DM instead of Scott, we'd be all over them.

Let's hope Amrabat is all that.

Just changing the one player would improve us so much. He doesnt want the ball when we have it, breaking up any control we might wish for, and then is all over the shop when they do, forcing the other players to bust a gut pressing.

Lovely shot of the moon there. Wouldn’t be against some nature shots at half time to calm and distract me from thinking of the game.

    Rashford "running around"?

At least we know you don't watch the games.

There's nothing wrong with Rashford's game today.

We lack possession, we lack half the team.

Partnered up with a new CF, only one he knows is Bruno.
And he teed him up nicely for a shot, could have been an easy goal had Bruno hit it an inch to the right.

This isn't your five a side where the best players goes through the whole team and scores.
Burnley are set up very good defensively.

I’d hate that Burnley pitch being a manager playing there. Have to treck from one end all the way across the pitch to get to dugouts

God only help us if that Burnley player puts that ball an inch to the left. We'd be 1-0 down instead of being bailed out by the post. Happy we're 1-0 up but we can't be relying on these kind of margins.

Been a good game. What a terrific Bruno goal that was

Hopefully finish this game off in the 2nd half and get those vital 3 pts.

Doesn't need to punt it. That's just being impatient. Burnley just hasn't been pressing and closed all avenues in front of the CBs
The rest of the team are man marked though, he has to try and get the ball past their defenders for someone to run onto.

Onana is standing around waiting for a CB to make themselves free - they don't move and for Burnley to press him, which then free's up a man - they don't.

    He has no options mate

Ducking Bellamy is I that bench too, Mctominay can kick the ball into that bench in the 90th minute if we are up three.

We are an awful football team. Onana has made it worse build up wise, way too slow releasing the ball. Hope Amrabat comes on for Mctom not Mejbri as he has been useless again. Whole team needs a bollocking by TH

Yes exactly. Playing out from the GK is one thing. But blimey. We moved the ball so slowly giving Burnley so much time to get back behind the ball.
We have got a move the ball much quicker and of course better.

    Was saying that, 1988 final
Think you need to watch that Van Basten goal again. The finish was from a tighter angle, the ball in was came in from a wider position and there was a defender between him and the goal which made the looping finish even more impressive. Still a top goal from Bruno though.

What I wouldn't give for a second goal from us

God only help us if that Burnley player puts that ball an inch to the left. We'd be 1-0 down instead of being bailed out by the post. Happy we're 1-0 up but we can't be relying on these kind of margins.
I'd just like to see us properly dominate a team for once. It's happened to us a few times in the last 18 months so when is it our turn? We always seem to scrape it.

It's a 750ml bottle, but I've got two of them.

Opened at half-time. Let's hope the rest of the game is good!

Got a bottle of tripel karmelet for after the game and currently on the Weihenstephaner and Schneider Weisse

I thought last year ten hag was building something, a style of play and a team that knew what they were doing.

I know there are a lot of injuries, but at the minute this is like the very worst of the tail end of Ole's time here, relying on a moment of magic from someone to get a goal. Other than that, we look pretty clueless in what we are doing.

Always love when they bring out the “not lost when leading at half time since…” stat.
