Evans passing under pressure like a petrified 17 year old academy player thrust in to make their debut (Lindelof not much better), and then he pulls that out...

Desperately need some control and dominance in the middle- hopefully Amrabat some point 2nd half can at least start to provide that. Getting parted so easily and then so sloppy in transition when we do actually win it back, without even the excuse of trying ambitious passes to match Fernandes runs. Hojlund also needs to sharpen up his holdup-play -for a big fast lad he's being caught or dispossessed far too easily...

Hopefully we'll see some minutes for Amrabat and Garnacho in 2nd half. Good result so far.

Is it time to start saying ETH has lost this team? Zero cohesive patterns of play, low energy except Mejbri

Rashford playing well, ffs are you watching a different game to me, absolute passenger so far. Lazy fecker he is.

Yeah, he’s given the ball away once, trying to surge into the box - exactly what I’d expect from our left forward. Also set up three chances with excellent passes into runners. We haven’t got the ball to him enough but he looks very sharp.

Don't understand the Onana comments. He looks like he's waiting for people to have some space open up, but Burnley are playing it tight and not getting drawn in, forcing him to play it to a CB.
Onana has been good. Ignore the moaning.

McTominay back to his usual, grafting and whatnot and being shit in the ball, vs Brighton it was no effort coupled with shit on the ball so there is an improvement at least

We have played not to go behind in this half. Should have been 2-0 up but we know.

Rashford needs to wake up. Worst player on pitch. Our fullbacks need to attack more and to put more pressure. Mejbri did well and so have Evans.

Rashford off at half time. Martial or Garnacho on.

You're dreaming. He's the golden boy he doesn't come off.

Plus think Ten Hag needs a few wins before dealing with Rashford. The negative PR might tilt things over.

I am trying to remember when we had two attackers who looked so unjointed as Hojlund and Rashford are. I know it is only few games but i am not seeing how those two will work. Hojlund wants the ball in the box while Rashford wants to cut inside and shoot.

Now that's what a captain brings to the table. That goal was a big big relief.

I know Evans is old, but he was always comfortably a top 4 club CB in terms of ability. When he left Utd he had lost confidence, maybe the stage was a bit too much at that moment in his career but he could easily have spent the second half of his career in the Lindelof role for any of the top teams, and done a better job of it.

Hannibal showing that some of these youth players deserve chances it's a shame that injury and suspension is what it takes for the club to push the initiative. United need to get a second and then try and coast the game.
He hasn’t been very good. Hes run alot though. Still hes been better than McTominay

Absolute no marks run at us and get through every single time. Then we have Rashford running at the fecking Burnley defence and can’t get through ever. Same in the Wolves game. What’s going on.

Don't understand the Onana comments. He looks like he's waiting for people to have some space open up, but Burnley are playing it tight and not getting drawn in, forcing him to play it to a CB.
    CB's have no clue.
At the sheer glimpse of someone getting within 20 yards they panic and pass it back and then stand still marked, Onana punts it long most of the time now because of them

Its been pretty midtable so far and Burnley can feel a bit stung to be behind. It took us about half an hour or so to get into this game. Squandered our early chances but luckily so did Burnley. Fortunately we have Bruno (although some on the CAF would probably not have wanted him to start...) Magical goal.

PS) We've not been helped by the lack of footballing nous in the centre of the park, both defence and midfield.

You couldn't imagine the sign of relief I've had when Bruno smashed that majestic goal. But we need to up the ante in the second half, Burnley is getting too comfortable getting into our half.

Beautiful goal. Diet van Persie vs Villa.

I don't understand our gameplan, though. So far this season, Burnley have folded like a pack of cards any time they've been trying to play out from the back against any kind of press, giving up chances and goals left and right... so our plan is to not press them at all and let them just play their way into our half unchallenged.

    Raise your standards lad ffs

Correct can only have so many battles at once

Thought Hannibal has looked very promising, glad he’s got a chance and done well.
Yeah, I’m a big fan. His inexperience shows a little but he’s doing okay, he’s having an impact. I think he has great potential.

Evans is making a late bid for legend status so he can have a crack at being manager in a couple of years.

We're fortunate we're playing a crap team. Burnley won't score.

Any half decent team would be beating us

Best be a lot better in the 2nd halve. We need another goal or we’re gonna draw 1-1

We're playing shite but that's no surprise with this starting XI. Beautiful goal though so there's that.

    CB's have no clue.

Doesn't need to punt it. That's just being impatient. Burnley just hasn't been pressing and closed all avenues in front of the CBs

I think it’s all about winning today, then we can start building up players confidence.

Wouldn’t do any harm to get the odd break.

Still letting players through the middle far too often even with 4 midfielders on the pitch, someone really does need to just sit in front of the centre backs its not that hard to see.

Words fail me as to how fecking useless McTominay is. We win this and he’ll be giving it all out on his Insta later, making out he’s such a baller.
