I thought Cavani was still suspended?
Because he’s not a CB & it would be foolish to risk it in such an important game? As far as Im aware he has never played CB in a 2 in his entire career.I guess Lindelöf will struggle less than Bailly with the airial bombardment, but why not play McTominay and Maguire at CB? McTominay is better in the air than both Lindelöf and Bailly.

Whenever a game seems a formality we always feck it up.
Hope Ole proves me wrong.
This has draw or defeat written all over it
This is a must win. Going with a 3 point lead before facing Liverpool will be a huge moral booster.
This could overtake ‘Ole’s first real test.’Why don’t we seem to have any easy fixtures
All our games seem difficult
Like Sheff Utd away, Villa or Wolves at home??
Weird.

I'm feeling confident actually - I'm fancying a beautiful hard-fought 1-0 away win.
That’s closer to actuality.Maybe this is Ole's most important match instead ?
Do not think he has but he does play CB in a 3 for Scotland. Just a thought, hopefully Lindelöf is back.Because he’s not a CB & it would be foolish to risk it in such an important game? As far as Im aware he has never played CB in a 2 in his entire career.
If we were going to do it Burnley would be probably the only suitable game to try it as they have no pace up front & rely on target men. Big risk though.Do not think he has but he does play CB in a 3 for Scotland. Just a thought, hopefully Lindelöf is back.
Moved from the beginning of the season?Kind of wish this hadn't been moved. Less rest and anything but a win shifts huge pressure into US going into Liverpool game. Without it the pressure is all on pool who aren't in great form and they'd know that not winning would be seen as big for us with a game in hand.
Oh well, it really is a must win in my opinion. Would ramp up pressure and could actually go to anfield looking to go 6 clear rather than 3 behind.
Hope Bailly will be ready as I could see a partnership between him and Maguire, but if he will not be, then I hope Lindelof will be.You might be right, but Lindelof might not be ready?
I reckon Solskjaer was playing up these injuries to Lindelof, Shaw and Pogba. Perhaps little knocks that kept them out of the Watford game but I'd be surprised if all 3 were out next game.
So - Pope is 50/50 to play.
Kevin Long, Jay Rodriguez, Charlie Taylor and Dwight McNeil are injured - all expected to be back soon, but probably not for the United-game
In addition 4 more players were missing against MK Dons (probably because of covid-19) - Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Josh Brownhill, Jimmy Dunne and Ashley Westwood.
I think that sums up Burnley 2 days before the game.
So I dont think we should complain about missing 3-4 players for this game
Yes more often than not he's too honest to the media about injuries.I'm not so sure, has he ever done that? He's usually been pretty candid.
We have Maguire and Bailly to deal with their two big guys, no. 9 and 10. We cannot allow them dominate midfield through their physical play. McT needs to be put to midfield. If we were going to do it Burnley would be probably the only suitable game to try it as they have no pace up front & rely on target men. Big risk though.
I think you're not remembering right. If I can remember. Of the 950 attempts to gain on our rivals we’ve not succeeded twice....
Based on this, we will likely see Bailly or if he’s not recover yet then Tuanzebe to pair with Maguire. And probably Martial, Rashford and Cavani front three.
Honestly, we have zero reason not to win. We have rested our players and we have better quality.
I'd definitely start VDB against Burnley, probably next to McTominay and hope we can just pass around them enough to put a few in. Save Fred for Liverpool where he'll have to do a ton of work. VDB isn't going to start against Liverpool and we need to pass and tire out Burnley so why not play him instead of 2 of Fred, McTominay and Matic?
Shaw and Lindelof make more sense to start against Liverpool anyways as Telles can hit crosses while we're camped in Burnley's half and Lindelof might struggle in the air against Wood.
If you figure Pogba is first choice at LW against Liverpool with Rashford on the right, that leaves Martial or Cavani up top in that game so the other plays 90 against Burnley along with Rashford (who you hope to haul off early along with Bruno or McTominay probably) and then I guess Greenwood on the right, though the last time a team parked the bus he looked an awkward fit. I guess I prefer James on the right if Cavani is up top trying to score on headers and tap ins and Greenwood if Martial is up top unable to get on the end of a cross most weeks but dropping deep and trying to link up quickly which does suit Greenwood better.
Very likely we will play Fred & Matic in Burnley game but we will play McT and Fred in Liverpool game. Doesn't make sense to play the same players that we used in the weekend.
I just think VDB makes more sense against a side sitting deep like Burnley than Fred and Fred needs to be fecking Kante against Liverpool whereas VDB won't play more than 10-20 minutes in that game in all likelihood.
