It really depends on what the medical situation is though, isn't it?So not even keeping him on the damn bench for whatever upset happening in the game?

I would imagine that if we have to sub off Matic or Fred, Andreas would drop back, and Lingard or Mata would come on.
Squad is what it is. Just hope we strengthen the midfield in January...but alarming lack of links to anyone.
Where's the comment? I'm sure he didn't make that decision on his own.Really? The manager himself came and said he's keeping him out because he feels he's not ready yet for 2 games in a row. Just stupid and terrible reason to not even keep him as an option on bench. I hope for God sake it won't backfire on us.

Definitely.Possibly.
Ole saying the same thing he needs a rest

Thanks. Stupid, idiotic decision!!Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Paul Pogba's absence for #MUFC at Burnley: "Paul has played in two games now and he's been out for a while, so we didn't feel it was right for him to participate today" (MUTV)
Yeah that was my thoughts as well, surprised to see Greenwood on the bench after recent performances too.
Just can't see Mata coming on and make a match turning impact like Pogba could. Really fear for us if we go behind with that midfield.
I also wonder what Tuanzebe has to do to get a chance ahead of Lindelof. I can see him getting bullied by that Burnley strikeforce.
It's useless for us to speculate but I can only guess he should not have played 45mn at all. Maybe 25 or 15? But Scott being injured, the decision had to be taken. And now we need to manage the injury. He was on the bench less than 48 hours ago. Why not just keep him on the bench for today's game?
Thanks. Stupid, idiotic decision!!
Am I doing this right?
Definitely.
The physio decides who's available for selection.
The manager decides who's selected.
Assuming that Pogba is good enough to be selected (which he certainly is), that must mean that his absence from the squad has been decided at a higher level than Solskjaer.
I'm fairly sure that this was a medical decision, not a sporting one. The evidence is in the fact he's not even on the bench, despite there being zero other midfielders on the bench.
It wouldn't be the first time our coaching setup makes what seems to be crazy to us. I think they're overly cautious and logically so considering what happened last time.Doubtful that's the reason.
Resting players for a big game is fine, but not having them as an option from the bench is outright bizarre. Especially since we have no midfielders on the bench at all now.
What the feck? Where is Pogba?
I agreei smell bs, he was barely running in the two games he came on.
Yeah it’s not like he had 2 gruelling 90mins, but feck it let’s see what happensi smell bs, he was barely running in the two games he came on.
absolutely brilliant!Thanks. Stupid, idiotic decision!!

Ok, sorry for that, you're a good poster too, it wasn't my intention to get into conflict of course you can say that but as I said I'm sure he didn't decide that on his own but after consultation with our medical stuff, cheers.I'm not sure why you are taking it that way. Tbh I like you as a poster so I don't want to get into a conflict with you, but surely I'm fine to say a manager's decision is a stupid one?
