Will give Lindelöf credit because after seeing how he got bullied by Deeney at Watford I feared a repeat tonight, however he and Maguire really marshalled Wood much better than I thought.

Was really impressed with Williams tonight because we haven't really seen him since the game against Villa, certainly feels like he relishes these tricky aways like Sheff Utd & Burnley more than home games. He delivered some quality balls in the first half but was also able to adapt to a more defensive approach in the second half.

I can’t get them to work either.
Can you see the vids but when you click them, nothing happens, it just goes black and "loading"?

If so, either disable your adblock or just refresh, get the source link and paste it to another tab.

What are you on about? He closed one player down so fast he forced him to play it wide to his full back, then closed the second player down so fast he had no pass on and had to turn on it, and was subsequently tackled. Really good play from Pereira.

Absolutey right he closed his man down well. No arguments there.

But that defender had the ball at his feet so just poke it out of play and danger over. He totally fecked up. It was a howling bad mistake. A good defender just pokes it out.

You can probably figure that one out if you give it some thought.
I've no idea. I don't see how it should be looked at with special preference over an outfield player. Not the opposing teams fault he pulled a hamstring or whatever is it. If you can do continue and exploit a CB bring down off the ball this should be no different.

A dive? He passed the player already, he's only jumping to avoid the injury, what do you want him to do? Get injured?

The burnley defender took his leg away, there was absolutely no contact Williams exagerated ,at least, if not faked it.

Lets not be blinded because he’s our player, I hate divers they disrespect the game and that was a dive.

I am not blinded, for me, when you pass the player, the defender has no business in tackling you and anything he does is obstruction. You play for when the ball is there to play, and you are late.

Look at the picture, the contact is there, the ball is gone and Brandon is already passed the player. What else do you need for that to be foul?

Enough contact, football is a contact sport. He flew away as if he was kicked the shit out of him when in fact there was almost no contact if any.

I’ve seen the rep a couple of times and don’t see how he could end flying the way he did without diving.

That's the only picture of the contact I can find. Bear in mind that he already passed the player, the ball is moving forward, it's a "grand pont" in French, or basically he made the defender think he was going right and he went to the left with the ball. He jumped to avoid contact but if there was no contact, I can guarantee you that he would land on his feet and go for the ball while the defender would be way behind him. Way behind him.

But because he was in the air, the slightest contact make you roll, and that's just leverage effect, nothing more, nothing less. The defender should never have touched him since he missed the ball already, that's not contact or not, that's football.

    My point: not a dive.

I agree, wasn't a dive. He might have accentuated it a bit but there was contact and that's a foul regardless of whether he tried to get out of the way. Ederson got sent off for clipping a player the other day and you could see he was trying to get out of the way but the fact he clipped him was enough. Williams was travelling at speed so it wouldn't take much to send him down.

It was a decent perfermance but i guess i have to see more to believe we can really go for the Top4. Now that we have lost Haaland to Borussia, i hope we have a backup option in place.
