Happy Lukaku is filling his boots, but he costs you when it really matters.

Shaw showing the importance of having proper full backs.

Pogba, Sanchez and Lingard look quite lively.

United have been very good - give credit where it's due man. Burnley are having a hard time! It's not that they are playing badly

I don't think so. We've been decent and Burnley have been undone by simple things they usually wouldnt be. Its great for us, we're 2-0 without getting out of 2nd gear. But its hard to imagine it'll be quite as easy in the 2nd half. Might be too late for Burnley to show up at this point

Think that's a little harsh on them. They did over perform in terms of where they finished, but they did play some nice stuff and fully deserved their results for the most part. They're out of Europa now so that should help them.
They "battled" well, but in terms of quality in their team, I think they were bottom 5 last season and the year before and probably worse so this season. A lot of people don't like xG and all that but they were one of the worst in the league for xG last season, but finished 7th. Definitely points to overperforming in a big way IMO.

Hate that our main means of attack is still long balls, whilst skipping the middle altogether.
It's utter garbage but it'll get toxic some pats on the back as we trundle on with him for another few months before the guilotine finally, mercifully drops, we have been blessed to be playing a side that look like they'd struggle in the championship right now.

Lingard is a hard for me to figure out. If he could add consistent end product to his game he’d likely be one of the most productive players in the league. Sometimes you see great technical flashes from him and quick legs and it’s like “there’s a really good player in there somewhere”

He's an enigma, for sure. At times he can score some screamers and finish like he was Ronaldo; at other times he looks completely lost in front of the goal and not able to strike the ball cleanly at all. Some times he also looks really fast, but then next match he is slow. His technique also varies a lot. Strange.

    Excellent performance so far.
Yes Burnley aren't playing that well, but we're stopping them doing so!

Media a..holes still going after us. I am watching game through NBC sports in US, and right after Lukaku scored the 2nd goal these guys start saying stuff like “Burnley haven’t done enough”, “Burnley plaing without energy without intensity”, “they couldn’t ask for a better opponent”, “Bunley haven’t shown up yet”.

Completely true though isn't it? Just enjoy it mate and stop worrying about the media.

Burnley have been badly affected by the Europa games, they don’t have the squad to handle Europe. They will be fine this season.

Loved that first half from Shaw. And Sanchez excellent.

Decent stuff from us so far. And good to see Lukaku getting a couple of goals after the criticism he (unfairly) got recently. Hard to gauge how much we've improved, because Burnley have been shocking so far. But I'm enjoying it. More of the same please.

Pogba gets the easiest fat paycheck. Does so little for $300k a week.

Lukaku has three balls next to his name in the match day line-up. I got excited and thought we'd scored 3 as my stream is behind.

They're nothing like they were last season.

Great first half. Probably the best we've played in a while. I like the formation as well. 4-4-2 diamond in attack, and 3-5-2 in defense with Fellaini dropping into the middle of Smalling and Lindeloff. My only complaint would be that I would rather see Matic take up that role and have Fred on the field instead of Fellaini. Not that he's done anything wrong. I just prefer him coming off the bench in an attacking position. It's also been strange to see Pogba out on the right so much but it seems to be working and we could be up by a lot more than just 2
What game are you watching? We are playing a classic Mourinho 4-3-3 with Matic as No6. Lingard tucks in a ltb more more from the right as Mata usually does compared to Sanchez.
We have playing this way for the most part of Mourinhos reign. Looks better today than it did last spring.
Hope Martial gets some gametime towards the end.

If he had a another goalscorer alongside, this wouldn't be an issue. Our over reliance on him costs us not him. I mean when's Sanchez going to start filling his boots

On a side note - I’m very glad we have Lingard rather than Mata.

Seeing the first goal again... wow.... Hart really should be further out and boxing that ball away. Such a liability
