That's just a cliche, City walked the PL last season on pure attack, not defense, neither of the teams Mourinho cited have great defenses that allow them to attack, they attack well because they have great attacking coaches.I find it really hard to like us at the moment and just looking at that team hasn't helped. I think we'll probably get the win comfortably, with a bit of a push from Burnley at some point, but we aren't inspiring at all.
Burnley will try and out-muscle us for shore. Makes sense to try and combat that.
We have better players.I've hated Fellaini but I'm glad he's in. We need someone who will do the ugly shit and get stuck in. We needed someone who would actually tackle for the ball and that isn't Fred.
Midfield looks more balanced now and with Hart in goal we should be ok.

Tbh I'm not a fan of downgrading the technicality in our midfield to match up with an inferior Burnley midfield but if it works then we can't fault Jose's reactivity. The end could justify the means.
There is never a need for Fellaini ever. As soon as he plays you know any pretence of any decent football is completely sacrificed. He would be the top name of any player to leave the club, so a manager couldn't put the tool up front.

Well it's a cliche from a man who new a thing or two about winning titlesNo Fred is shame. He's not been superb but there are signs he can be the player we need in midfield. I understand the tactical argument for bringing Fellaini in but I'd much rather persevere with the more technically astute player, I find it a little irksome how quickly Jose seems willing to compromise against any and all opposition.
That said I'm looking forward to this one. We need to put the Brighton and Spurs debacles behind us.

Not sure Fred would have started the season had we had all of our midfielders available. New players are normally introduced slowly, as they get used to the league.
Think he's done well enough, but as I said, he's still settling. Course it doesn't help that we've started the way we have.
