Come on Martial. His situation is same as Nani few years ago. Now its time to step up or he will be sold this summer.

Ofc it's gonna be difficult and ofc some of these players have struggled this season.

But whenever we play what I consider our best line up, we produce feck all. And when Jose plays a team where I think he's taking the piss, we end up winning. So let's have a little faith.

I don't disagree with the pine-up and it's not about faith, just realistically there's very little attacking threat in that team against a team with a strong defensive record at home.

Even if we win this, and beat City I think the jury is still out. City aren't much better than us, but they are currently better. I wouldn't fancy us in a head to head race with them.

We're not favored from the start to get top 4 after all these points thrown by us but we still have a slim chance and I don't think Jose will be willing to throw it away deliberately. Let's see what will happen

If we drop a draw today we'll be 3 points behind City, defeat them and we'll be even on points. We can still do with a draw today tbh. City game is a must win and we need a masterclass tactics from Jose as the Chelsea game.

If we defeated both then yeah imagine the confidence we'll get.

We'd just finish behind them on goal difference in that case (again)

For all intents and purposes they're another half point ahead of us

Let's pray we can get the job done quickly so Pogba can get a rest. He's only just back from injury.

Their goal difference is 28 and us 24. If we defeated them we'll decrease the GD between us and them. Not impossible.

Don't know why people are moaning about the line up, seems pretty sensible all things considered. Reality is we're playing Burnley, not Barca, I know people will point to their home form, but the team we've got today is hardly weak.

Thought it was bigger gap than that tbh.
Still ... we've gotten screwed by it too many times for me to feel safe on that front

I don't think we had many other options for the starting line up, to be honest.

It's a shame we couldn't rest Pogba as well, although I don't expect him to last 90 minutes.

Lol we all know how long Rooney takes to get going after time out, he has had 10 made up ankle injuries over the past few weeks so I am expecting League 2 level of performance from him!

We have enough attacking threat for Burnley. I believe Martial will step up today and deliver.

It's weird we have drawn so many yet haven't drawn 2-2 in nearly 3 years. They have all been 1-1 or 0-0. The defence have been solid! If we'd have just converted about 5 sitters over the season we could have been looking at an extra 10 points! All hindsight though and everyone will have their ifs and buts but 12 draws in so many dominant games is infuriating.

He's actually right. But God I hate the cnut when it comes to Liverpool related topics. He's very good otherwise.

Do they have an easy fixture list or something?
I kind of expect us to finish 5th but i wouldn't be confident by any stretch if i was a liverpool or city supporter

Same as with Chelsea, the squaddie filled lineup is reminiscent of SAFs rotation teams.

    They usually delivered.

It's not a bad team by any means. Could see some nice stuff from the front 3.

On paper, with the timing of their games, most of the teams they will face will be safe or relegated by the time they play them.

Tough game today, though. Palace need one more win and have a good record against the big sides in recent weeks.
