    Think we’re crashing out tonight.

Classic once in a lifetime home cup-tie under the lights against a big boy with all the fans baying for blood against a slightly weakened United.

    MK Dons vibes.

    Pogba's having none of it.

Bristol City are pretty good (for being a Championship team) and in good form aren't they? Reckon they'll be fired up for this. Don't think we can afford to rest too many players apart from the really tired ones like Matic.

I am looking forward to this more than I do to premier league games which stress me out these days.

I hope that Shaw, Tuanzebe and McTominay get starts. That, plus Pogback. Whats not to like?

Agree. A change is always good. New players coming in always freshens it up even if its only short lived.

Hoping we can squeeze another youth player in on top of those you've mentioned.

I hope Shaw plays and does well.

I know it's not elite opposition, and a good performance would prove very little, but I still think he might be the solution to our ongoing LB question.

He's had about 12 good games for us in 3.5 years and has failed to solve our LB problem.
And today, you think he is going to solve it for us?
You are far more patient than I am.

Yes they've won their last 4 games and are 3rd in the championship, so on a good run of form. Mourinho will obviously rotate, but I don't expect he'll play a weak team.

Well he's just had two good games, so it's less unlikely than it was a fortnight or so ago!

I’d rather play a PL team struggling at the bottom of table rather than championship side flying high. Confidence does wonders for players that exceeds their skill level so given the QF draw you could argue it is the toughest tie (particularly after Leic pretty much raising the white flag with their team selection). Utd should of course be good enough to win here even with a number of reserves in ranks but my issue is that we are playing horribly and grinding out results so time will tell which team turns up tonight!

So we're playing tonight! Making christmas cookies and watching football sounds nice.

I think we're about to find out whether Zlatan has really recovered or not. If he doesn't start tonight, then I start to believe the reports.

Wouldnt mind it actually. Dont semis become a two legged tie? Against a big team as well. So might as well not play and rest.

I think there will be a few scares. They will probably score first, but I reckon we will get 2 and win 1-2. McTomminay will probably start as will Shaw. Maybe Ibra for Lukaku, and Pogba should be back. Romero maybe in goal. Be nice to see a couple of the other kids get some game time off the bench towards the end.

A big win is in the cards. It's not like we're going to put out a bunch of untested kids. And of the younger players we have in the squad, they're really good. Tuanzebe has been fantastic for us and not a whole lot need be said about Rashford. McTominay is a very promising project.

I was like didn't we play them recently only to realize I've mixed Bristol and Brighton

Really looking forward how that lineup will work on the pitch. It looks exciting.
