You miss the point. We bemoan our strength in depth and blame the Glazers. The truth is our recruitment has been awful and we have overspent on average players and Antony is one example. When you see the likes of Mitoma who cost just £2.7m ...he is far more effective.
No i don't miss the point you are going for Antony when Martial is by far the worst player on the pitch and Shaw handled the ball. Antony misses one chance on goal and you want to burn him at the stake but Mitoma missed about 8 chances tonight. Having no NO.9 worth a salt is killing us not Antony, but fair do's if you all want rid of him I'm a democracy man. Lets get the sheets made up for the next home game " Antony feck off and leave"

Liverpool have Brentford, Leicester, Villa and Southampton. All completely winnable games for them in their form. We need three wins or 9pts from five games (15pts) against West.Ham.away, Wolves (h), Bournemouth (a), Chelsea (h). Fulham (h). So if we can win the home games...

Of course not, no replay of that but so many when its the other way. Then no replay of potential foul against Rashford before the Antony yellow. They only show replays of incidents that might be against United.
100% correct and the stamp on Bruno ,i think by Caicedo was minimum a yellow. Again if thats Casemiro Var would have the ref review it.

Sancho was taken down off the ball as well, no replay there either.

what ? was it desperate against Villa? What you all don't realised is bar the Shaw stupidity, the Referees and var are having a huge impact on our game.
Maybe some of us don’t realise. But most of us know it’s a conspiracy that refs and VAR are trying to bring us down.

And I’m sorry to shock you but recent form has been much worse than it was earlier in the season. We’re going to win some games, we’re Man Utd. We’re going to play well sometimes, we’re Man Utd. But do you not remember when there was a flicker of belief that we could challenge for the league. It was a few months ago. We were playing great. It’s not really like that just now, is it? If you really think it is, just look back at the last ten games. That doesn’t even include the Liv 7-0. Chins up, though, eh?

    Just home from the match.

Good game tonight, once again very evenly matched. In first half your lads edged it and were set up beautifully to manage how we play. You weren’t drawn into the press, held a very solid shape and hit us fast and early over the top into the channels, which is the perfect way to play against us. You could tell this was designed by Ten Hag, and worked perfectly.

Antony/Mitoma very early chances aside, we bossed possession and territory as expected, but Rashford looked extremely dangerous on the break and you could’ve easily gone in 2/3-1 up at half time.

I thought we were fully on top in the second half, however. Your lads’ mentality was not right in the second half. Martial, in particular, had terrible body language and frankly looked gassed.

Two very evenly matched games considering the cup semi final, both matches could’ve gone either way, so a “win each” is about right for the par.

A quick note on the referee Mariner, who had a very poor game. We got away with several bookings (Gilmour in particular stands out), and Casemiro could’ve easily seen a second yellow card.

The one that stood out though was Antony’s hack. As a guest on your forum and a football lover I pride myself in being polite and fair, but quite how anyone could argue that wasn’t a straight red card is beyond me. It is violent conduct rather than serious foul play, and he was extremely lucky to only see a yellow.

But as I say, he was poor for both sides. The penalty (given by VAR) was pretty much indisputable.

All the best for the rest of the season guys.

Very nice to read an actually reasonable account of tonight’s game. Agree, grudgingly, about Casemiro, and fully about the awful performance of the referee. Good luck back at ya!

Really funny how opposition team seem to score when he isn't on the park then. He rarely give the ball away and can receive it. Yet tonight you ignore the worst player on the pitch by a mile, Martial who has cost us over the years a lot more than Antony has.
You have your view, and I have mine. It's kind of how these places work.
