And on the other end of the pitch they could just dive at any time, receive a soft free kick and put pressure on us. The entire penalty sequence came from the softest free kick you'll see all season.

It’s not about the big decisions. It’s the constant failure to give fouls and yellow cards to the opposition which massively affects the flow of the game. Casemiro was the first booking after maybe 2-3 Brighton players had cynically stopped attacks.

Game management from refs is a much bigger issue than the big decisions now because VAR often sorts those out.

But we have been beaten by the better team, we can’t finish or play decent for more than a half. So we lose once again away from home.
