Yeah I think you're right as he was talking about our good defensive record last year so he couldn't have been talking about Bailly when he barely played.
This might be another message from Ole to Ed. I.e. when Ighalo goes back in January, these are what our attacking options from the bench will be.better lineup this time. Bailly should have started today simply as a message to the CB partnership that recent performances have been sub-par.
Lindelof was at fault in a European Cup semi-final & then follows that up with a dismal start to the new season yet keeps his place when an alternative is available, pathetic from OgS.

I am not entirely surprised. He was great for a while at Watford then his form dropped off. As other said I think Ole wanted Haaland or King before him.

Bailly cant be trusted to get through a half without self destructing, but he's another one who seems to have improved as a talent for the Caf the longer he's out.

Totally agree. He was one of our better performers at the end of the season. He had a bad game last week but so did most of the team. Pogba Rashford Fernandes and Martial were total wank, yet posters barely mentioned them especially the latter two names.I’d have been tempted to try VDB in Rashford’s position against Brighton.- Status
