People need to watch the press conference. He 100% meant to say “Harry and Victor” but accidentally said Eric because he had him in his head for his next sentence.
It’s obvious it was a mistake because he said we’ve seen how well Harry and Eric played together last year. They barely played together (if at all!).
And cost us 3 goals in it.
This... And the Maguire-love here is also quite something, the guy cost 80 mil. and plays like a piece of shit. Laughable...Ighalo must be an injury but reckon James could well be heading to Leeds whether that is on loan or permanent.
You would think if Odion wasn't an injury there would be more concrete links to a backup striker.No forward in our bench and our first choice backup (James) Isn't even good enough.

Lingard has been better than James in the few games we have bad this season (Villa included), so I´m not that surprised. He could perhaps have been on the bench instead of Fred or McTominay, but so could Ighalo.

As others have already pointed out, not having a genuine attacking option on the bench is worrying. I get that it’s a weird time fitness wise but it once again highlights our need for attacking reinforcements. If we go a goal down today we basically have Lingard and Donny to rely on, even Mata and James aren’t there.
That win was recently and comfortable.The whole mood around the team is terrible at the moment. We had a great finish to last season despite the europa league semi final. We had a bad game last week but I fully expect us to put in a good winning performance today then hopefully the whole mood lifts. We beat Brighton at a canter just a few months ago yet it feels like we've regressed.

I'll agree that he was at fault for the Giroud goal against Chelsea. Seville was all AWB. Didn't catch the Palace match (first match in about 3 years) but it seems he had a stinker so fair enough. I'm not trying to say he's world class or that he can't be improved upon, but he's by far our best option currently.

if lindelof or Maguire get injured, he's going to have to. Might as well throw him in the deep in and find out now, instead of February.
It's exactly the same line up too. We are in a different place but I expect us to win comfortably today. While the bench is weak, but we shouldn't need to be relying on the bench today anyway.
If Rashford, Martial or Greenwood go down we are screwed.
Heck Rashford arguably needs a bit of rest as it is.If we can upgrade Lingard & Mensah from that 18 players which what we are targeting right now before end of the transfer window, it will look so much pleasing to see.

He can barely keep himself fit to play 2 games per month, he definitely wouldn't be able to do 2 games per week.
He is there. Just not named in the eighteen.The bench is of course weak, but the likes of James or Ighalo don't exactly make things much better. We clearly need recruitment, but can't really be too upset with the starting line up or the bench given our options.Is it possible for Ole to try changing the formation? Try something different.
Not surprising to see DVB omitted given he played midweek.
That's our strongest first eleven so no excuses today.
