    How are we meant to beat the press if we don't play it into players like that? Sit down and watch City and you'll know what I mean. Are we City, no, but that is where ten Hag wants to go, and in order to improve, we will need to keep doing it.

    Football hasnt changed that much.. The basics remain the same.
    No team can succeed without a strong spine.. We need a spine.. a commanding GK.. commanding CBs, midfielders and 1 forward.. and need some leadership..

    We arent getting anywhere till we fix our spine.

    Right now, we need a GK that can inspire some confidence.. we need 2 midfielders who are competent and dont shit themselves every 20 minutes...

    I said I'd keep them. Not that they're great/not shit. I do appreciate you're frustrated, as I am.

    Sancho is technically gifted and with the right set-up, he can be useful. Ronaldo has a goal in him, not that I think he should be a starter. And yes, Martinez because he's new.
     
    I was cautiously optimistic when we hired ETH but feck me, no words. I canee' take the strain cap'n.

    Ronaldo isn't leading any press up front. Sancho has been awful and DeGea has cost us this game to start with by setting the tone with a bad mistake forcing us to needlessly claw from behind which doesn't looks like it'll happen with thing going from worst to awfully terrible.

    Yep. No one showing any sort of emotion to being 4-0 down. United teams of old you'd have Rio going apeshite or Rooney kicking someone. Just someone showing displeasure at the situation.

    Rashford tries getting a shot on target, hits the goalkeeper and turns around with trodding on with his head down. No visible disgust that he couldn't make a better chance of it.

United just thinks a our players are good players regardless of the system and that’s why we have failed for so long. We are trying to play a system with 11 players not suited for it.

    If Ten Hag is sacked, I hope the match going fans turn up the heat big time. It's impossible to be calm after that performance. We are shite, but I never envisioned us to be this poor.

    Nothing will change and we will probably be bottom half this season if no more really quality players are signed. Murtough and Arnold should be sacked based on this start. Our transfer season is probably only better than Leicester, that's after we finished 6th last year.

    Apart from 3 of the defenders, a whole team of players who can’t win a ball, tackle, win one-on-ones, press properly or effectively, ……who get outmuscled or bullied off the ball and out of possession with such ease.
