    Yup. Not too mention the two CB’s and DDG are slow when passing it about the back. Opposition always close us down in those situations.

    DDG’s positioning has been horrible since conceding the first goal. We need a new #1 but we’re going to be stuck with him for another year.
     
    Does ETH really expect Hannibal, Ikbal and Garner to do worse than the actual midfield ?
     
    When I take 6-7 year olds to football tournaments with school I'm often trying to instil within them not to all chase the ball because it's so easy for them to pass around you.

    This team are as good as those kids.... fecking shocking.

    Not just that. That breakaway goal was on him, IMHO. A proper CB, alert for danger, would close down the opposition's only outlet the second we lose the ball. He was caught marking space.

    He's just too reactive!

    He's not. He dandles too much on the ball giving opposition players time to cut off all passing lanes. Not to mention we actually need a bit more pace than what Maguire offers. Varane would be a better partner to Martinez. He's been less than sharp in pre season obviously which is what had brought the shakiness in his play otherwise he's usually good on the ball.
     
    Maguire and de Gea disastrous, Bruno and CR non-factors. Contrary to some here I think Martinez has actually been pretty decent.
     
    Paul pogba is probably somewhere in Turin watching this with a nice beer not having to worry about the mess we’re in and being blamed for it.

    Football hasnt changed that much.. The basics remain the same.
    No team can succeed without a strong spine.. We need a spine.. a commanding GK.. commanding CBs, midfielders and 1 forward.. and need some leadership..

    We arent getting anywhere till we fix our spine.

    Right now, we need a GK that can inspire some confidence.. we need 2 midfielders who are competent and dont shit themselves every 20 minutes...

    ETH so far has been awful we chase FDJ all season and he’s not proven, we but a 5’8 CB for £50m and A 5’5 left back the Dutch league is not where we should be recruiting, I can’t stand Maguire but right now we need 343 of Martinez is to play he will only be able to play in a 3 in the PL, no energy in midfield Bruno been stinking the place out for 6 months now and we go 4-0 and no substitutes, I’m calling it now ETH will be sacked with 1 or 2 points after 6 games and his reputation in tatters McClaren should know better and tell him you can’t play with small CB in the PL and possession based football with a keeper that’s I’m the bottom 3 in the PL at doing just that!
    I’m waiting for Martinez and Mallacia to start the same game and we might concede 7 or 8. If he knew what he was doing he would bring Varane, Ganaucho and James Garner on

    In what way is it bullshit? 2-4 against Leicester. 0-5 against Liverpool. 0-2 against City. The game was way worse than the scoreline suggests. 1-4 against Watford. It started under him and has continued since he left.

    He's not at fault, but he can't be one of the defenders if you want to play a high pressing line.

    It's just is that way. The only defence he suits is one that defends near to the goal. We've known this for ages.

    If EtH wants to play him, he has to change his tactics to a defend deep and counter like Ole

    I think everyone knows DDGs is an issue. The point is the manager isn’t a clown for playing out from the back. Its not a new thing for us
