    We playing a 4-3-3? If so not sure how it works with Fred sitting on his own. Lack of defensive players in that midfield.
     
    I think ETH wants to control the ball in midfield rather than defend it with a DM.

    So Eriksen will be more comfortable on the ball and should link up better.

    It might not be enough! but it’s the best option for now.

    Offensive line-up, but I feel that the crowd is the last peace of the puzzle today. We need to be aggressive in retaining the ball quickly, and make sure that the match will play out on our terms. The crowd has to be roaring from the start.

    Huge match for Martinez and Maguire, I feel. Hopefully we will press very high to pressure Brentford to go for the long balls. We need to be on the front foot in defence and win the duels for their long balls.

    Our midfield gets bypassed easily regardless. So may as well have more ball players in there for when we're in possession.
     
    Who will protect the back 4? Fred is half the player as a 6 and I don't know anything about Erikson in that position.

    Neither do I, but I know that he's not Scott McTominay - and for right now, I'll take that.
     
    If its an actual 4-3-3 it might not be a bad midfield but the reason why its a vulnerable midfield is because it will be a midfield two or even a midfield one because of Bruno who will do absolutely zero midfielding.
     
    So nervous for this game... against (with respect) Brentford.... this season is going to add years to me :-(
     
    Only question which has probably been asked 100 times already is why Shaw over malencia?

    Not the worst team though.
     
    Bruno deserved to be benched just as much as McTominay, sick of the sight of him. He'll offer zero help to Fred and Eriksen in midfield as usual.
     
    I get why Maguire - Martinez gets another chance, but how in the blue hell does Shaw get to start???

    I think the heat will have us looking gassed after 20 minutes. Shaw might actually melt.
     
    Have to assume Eriksen is going to be in that deeper role we saw him in the second half last week? If so, should be a lot better for our playstyle. Will be interesting to see how Ronaldo is in this game from the start.

    As bad as he was, another short player alongside Martinez isn't the way to go against Brentford today. Set pieces are going to be a nightmare as it is.
     
    First time watching in 4k on youtube tv. Looks fantastic.

    I’ll add that even though it’s an NBC 4k channel, it’s not the same commentary team on NBC regular. That one has Peter Drury and Lee Dixon. No idea who this pair is but I recognize the voices.
     
    Actually looks like a really good line-up.
    Predicted a 2-1 win before hand, feeling confident it will be even better than that.
