Looking at their goal again… this shit of hands behind back means you are off balance and not set… you won’t give a penalty away if it hits you if hands by side

Could say this is any game. The odd one where we get slightly favoured and it’s all over the news for days

Referees are afraid to give us decisions. It’s been clear for years
best example is the backlash from the Onana foul vs Wolves last season

Most PL teams this season will have done the double over Man United and let’s be fair Amorim been the coach in both games!

What’s it going to take for fans to turn on him completely, a 65% loss rate, I genuinely think that maybe only Europa Win can keep him in the job, SJR is there today and he’s not stupid you can’t lose 12 PL games out of 23 matches, win 6 and keep your job as Man United Coach?

Not the managers fault, this team is crap. Don't care of the loss is 100%, he is going nowhere.

He will be given the summer and start of next season which is fair. If we start next season like this he will be gone. Not sure how difficult that is to understand but here we are.
So another season wasted before it has even started. Great!

United fans have a cult of personality issue. Until the worship of managers ends, this will always happen.

Dorgu is the LWB, we aren’t going to buy another one and it’s quickly becoming evident that he isn’t a top 6 player.
I cant buy into the logic that Dorgu has been bought to be our starting LWB next season. He fluctuates between shit and OK, and its a key position for the system. I'd be quite shocked if we walked into next season with just Dorgu as a LWB option. It's one of our most thinly stocked areas on the pitch too, so I think we'll make at worst a squad signing, and that player will probably displace Dorgu anyway.

The amount of people that think we’re going to be a completely different side next season is alarming. We have so many problems a new manager and fresh starting 11 would not fix.
Just playing a 433 system will instantly fix quite a lot of as a New GK, New CM and three new attacking players, TBF Oliver Glasner who plays 3421 or Raiola whose flexible with systems would instantly improve this squad and team next season!

Ruben Amorim won’t improve because he can’t manage in the EPL, that’s quite obvious looking at results.

You are literally only talking about a different thread in the match thread right now.

Making this 'I'm just trying to stay on topic' shite even more laughable.
I’m responding to people quoting me for the most part. I made one post about a thread being locked in here because I can’t do it in a locked thread can I? Why can’t you answer a question?

I seriously do not understand why he persist to play Hojlund. Trying to resurrect a dead donkey.

Away to Bournemouth and we have 20% more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more shots blocked, more corners. We were clearly the better team in that half and they scored from a silly error and deflection.

To say we haven’t improved is daft. We just don’t have any quality up front to make the difference.
Hmm, that seems correct. Must be why we're looking at Cunha and Delap

This should fix everything, this same team was 8th last season. So with a different manager next season and no new signing, we'll probably be 10th, specially with no European competition. Which is much better and also pleases many people in here.
Which manager do you think is going to turn Hojlund, Zirkzee and a 17 year old into Premier League quality goalscorers?

These players aren't good enough to play for Man Utd. There's a false conflation between "wearing the shirt" and "being good enough" among some fans, which means they think these players would be good enough if they "put in an effort" or "were better organised". Err, this is it. This is these players playing as well as they can, having taken on as much as they can about the system they're meant to play. They're not good players. Mazraoui, Fernandes, Garnacho, yes. The rest? Yoro and Mainoo maybe in the future. Otherwise no.

If Amorim was a caretaker coach there's no way in hell he'd be getting a full time contract in the summer.

If we start next season in this kind of form then he'll have to go. No other big club puts up with winning 20% of league matches or whatever it is.

    How do you know that?
How do I know Amorim wanted a left wing back ? Other than the fact he continually played Dalot or Mazraoui there and ignored Amass whilst agreeing to let Malacia leave ? Quite clear Amorim asked for a left wing back especially seeing as we don’t have a structure that brings players in for the coach to work with.

We literally have no choice to play him because we’re desperate for him to get some confidence. We can’t play anyone else upfront in the Europa.
Starting him in the league again only to not score is not going to give him confidence is it?

Just rest him, bring him off the bench when he tends to do better. Tell him he needs to focus on being ready for Thursday.

We have almost Zero up front.
Only Garnacho posing any real goal threat.
Unlucky he didn’t get enough on his chip to clear the keeper, but it was reactive and he didn’t have time.
His late shot was a decent effort, even off target. There wasn’t much else on for a pass.

If Chido comes on, he’ll be just as isolated as Hojlund, with this line-up.

Looking at their goal again… this shit of hands behind back means you are off balance and not set… you won’t give a penalty away if it hits you if hands by side
If the ball is going on target you will. You’ve literally blocked a possible goal bound shot with an illegal part of your body.

No chance in hell ETH would have got us top half the way we were playing.

Add McTominay and Rashford back into this squad and we'd maybe be top half though. Not that we should have kept either.
Rashford might still be here if ETH was here and at the time of being sacked we were only about 5 points off the European places.

I did not like ETH at all but he could at least go on runs at times. Amorim hasn't got a fecking clue in the league and has made some of our more reliable players play much worse because of his crap system.

Exactly. Lets just keep them concentrated in here and that elevates the level of the discussion elsewhere. What's so hard to understand?
Does it though? Seems just threads being shut because some don’t like the discourse. Which prompted the initial comparison.

This should fix everything, this same team was 8th last season. So with a different manager next season and no new signing, we'll probably be 10th, specially with no European competition. Which is much better and also pleases many people in here.

That 8th position was also down to luck. The stats showed that we should have been 15th or something. And the goal scoring problems were there last season as well, but they were covered by our defensive problems.

Diego Leon will walk into LWB ahead of Dorgu
Of course he would. A 17 year old. New to the league. Of course he would. Because this place likes to over-egg players who aren’t playing over the ones who are. So when they do play we can cast them aside too and get someone else in.

Much like a child who is never happy with what they’ve got.

So sack the manager and no new signings in the summer then?
A semi decent manager does not have this squad in 15th place ffs! Is the squad good enough to compete for the PL? Hell no! But it should not be in this position playing so bloody terribly!

I honestly think I must be in bizzaro world in here. Amorim is seemingly bulletproof in the eyes of so many.

We have SO far to go. I can't see us winning the EL this season with this lot. They'll definitely bottle it.

We need to just focus on improving a couple of players and moving on as many as possible from this shower in order to get some more in. Completely change the slow, unathletic, lethargic looking squad into something that can at least secure mid-table next season and then build from there.

    Then it'll be a red

Yes but that will create a bigger discussion.....this cant go on. The "tackle" was considered reckless and not serious foul play.....what a f... joke. In what way was that tackle worse than the one Dorgu got sent off for...

Which manager do you think is going to turn Hojlund, Zirkzee and a 17 year old into Premier League quality goalscorers?
I was being sarcastic... these attackers are shambolic, no matter the setup, formation or manager. Also we have so many players that are so physically weak that with just a little "push" from the opposition they back down mentally. Also, also.. so many players that are shite technically.

Just a full blooded challenge, then in same breath he slips too according to redknapp. Then spent longer talking about casemiros high boot. Not a single mention of either challenge on maguire. Surely you at least discuss it if var reviewed them both

This idea that a manager has to bring in his own players to improve things needs to fecking stop as Amorim should be able to at least improve what is already there just like the Wolves manager has or Moyes has without bringing in their own players and working with what they had, rather than losing every week and killing all confidence Amorim should change things tactically then build what he wants from there but refuses to change a thing.
Emperor Amorim wears only the finest, most luxurious, most beautiful clothing in the entire world. Plebs and commoners can't appreciate the glorious beauty.

I cant buy into the logic that Dorgu has been bought to be our starting LWB next season. He fluctuates between shit and OK, and its a key position for the system. It's one of our most thinly stocked areas on the pitch too, so I think we'll make at worst a squad signing, and that player will probably displace Dorgu anyway.
Don’t we have Diego Leon joining? Dorgu was obviously signed to be the player there and hes a bust

2 scousers at Anfield giving us impartial commentary at half time. Makes my day.
How can we expect impartial punditry when so many of the pundits are ex-players from bitter rivals of Manchester United? It's ridiculous. I would never trust a thing a former Liverpool or Arsenal player has to say about United, objectivity isn't possible.

We've wasted money on Dorgu, let's be honest.

I know he's young and needs time, but we can tell a future on a lot of bright young talent, I can't see him being a great player, he seems average

On paper we have three players that can play the the position. We need an upgrade pretty much everywhere. I’d be surprised if LWB is a priority.
