    Funny thing is I’m not the only one am I, his words just to remind you ;

You win matches, you win time!”

You lose matches you lose time

I don’t really think anyone needs to be reminded that a managers career at a club can be short lived if they don’t win matches.

Similar time to how long Roy Hodgson lasted at Liverpool, who had a 41% win rate compared to Amorim's 38%

A month and a half away from being here as long as Moyes, who had a 53% win rate

It kind of puts in to perspective how far we've fallen and how low expectations have become

Not really, it would be a fairly weird perspective considering how different the circumstances were

A great manager lets his coaching staff challenge him and question him, I don’t see that with Ruben, I see a control freak that wants everyone to fall in line and only agree with his decisions, please tell me if you think Ruben after 23 PL matches understands the PL and how to win more than 1/4 of the matches he oversees?

That’s an awful lot of games that the whole coaching team have failed in, failed to score goals, failed to be tactically flexible to change his system, the back room team have failed to challenge decisions of the head coach, collectively failed to coach the team into an efficient compact unit, failed to stop conceding goals and more importantly failed to entertain huge 70,000 + fans at OLD Trafford.

    Ruben and his team’s PL home record this season ;

    Played 11 Won 3 Drawn 2 Lost 6 points - 11
    1 point per game.

    Goals Scored 14 Goals conceded 18 - 4 GD

We managed 8 points from 6 games previously that got ETH Sacked and RVN as interim.

He’s had 12 games away and the form is marginally better
    Played 12 won 3 Drawn 4 Lost 5 points 13
    1.1 Points per game
    Goals scored 13 Goals conceded 17 - 4 GD

This suggests to me that he’s looking to play football that highly defensive and attempts to steal a win and when they go 1 or 2-0 down, they are not coached into a different formations or strategies to change the match and the flow of the game, this is Rookie Coach 101.

Top Elite Coaches and their backroom staff prepare detailed structures and tactic board to change for certain scenarios that happen in game and they prepare their team for this through the different phases of the match, I’m not sure Ruben and his staff are competent enough to do this because if they were, they would know when the opposing team go down to 10 men in a game with 30 minutes left you immediately switch your team up, he has three at the back so the simple answer is to add another man in midfield to dominate the ball and play a 3-3-4 with your wing backs absolutely as high as possible almost playing as wide wingers.

He played 3421 with wait for it Rasmus playing as the right 10, Chido as the 9 and Dorgu. As the right wing back with no ability to cross the ball from the width of the right field.

He has pace who could be used at wingback within the youth set up like Amass and Mantato but we still see this dross every week, in the first half, Bournemouth did what every other team has done to us in the EPL all season, they pushed their full backs high and our wing backs back to a narrow 5221, pressing us high up the pitch and then outnumbered our 2 man midfield of Mainoo and Casemiro, with a three man high energetic midfield, it happens every game, our defenders then make a mistake passing out from the back and we are 1 or 2 nil down after 25-35 minutes playing catch up!

Unfortunately this coach and his staff are simply not learning and it doesn’t matter who you bring in as players in the summer, if you continue to play this system next season, the same results will happen and then all of the fans will turn on Amorim very quickly.

Ruben needs to find a variation. Of maybe switch up his system to a true 3421/334 compact high energy high intensity team that take their chances and are ruthless otherwise he won’t last more than 8/10 PL games next season.
Wow, I appreciate the response but you make an awful lot of assumptions and haven’t answered my question really.

Mount on the other had couldn’t even finish easy chances Garnacho put on a plate for him last week
So that one occasion makes up for the countless games where he’s single handedly killed our offense? Cool good to know.

Garnacho is below the 50th percentile in almost every major offensive category besides total shots (because he shoots a ton) and xG (where he’s badly lacking his expected goal total which shows his finishing is poor).

His only positive offensive category is progressive carries, where he’s really only good at when he has space. As soon as a defender challenges, his successful take ons stat show he’s terrible (46% percentile). The numbers don’t lie, he’s been terrible.

Mount has barely played but at least with him you know you get elite offensive pressing so at least he’s causing turnovers. So again, I’d at least give guys like Mount and Obi a chance to see what we have before summer. We know what we have in Garnacho and Hojlund and we know they aren’t good enough.

No its a critique of Mount who has scored 1 goals in his United career and has 1 assist

Do you believe that Ruben Amorim has enough managerial experience to manage Bayern, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan?

We know Liverpool turned him down, he’s not yet ready he needs another 2 or 3 seasons stepping up from Sporting to a mid table PL team or a team like Dortmund and he should win with those teams, personally If Oliver Glasner wins the FA Cup then his CV and his ability to manage in the EPL is far more suited to taking over from RA as he’s won a major European Trophy, something RA has shown no ability to do so, he’s not like Jose who won two major European trophies with Porto.

Thursday will be his first major European Semi Final, let’s hope he’s learned from all those rookie mistakes he’s made this season?

Again you’ve dragged us wildly off course.

Back to the original point, how did the back room staff look out of their depth? Was one of them picking their nose?

We deserved to win the game. They capitalized on one mistake and didn't really show much else before or after the red card.

The announcers were incredibly biased. But if we played better than the 8th placed team and just the lack of some composure from our attackers kept us from winning, I am more optimistic about the future

Simple answer 23 PL matches - 26% win rate and 1.1 point per game,, results don’t lie?

Has a Man United team ever been in the bottom 6 in the EPL?

Has a Man United team ever lost 50% of their PL matches ?

Has a Man United team ever looked so abject ?

Would a 63 year old GK coach come from the bench and score or assist a goal?

Let’s be honest he can’t stop the number 1 and number 2 Goalkeeper throwing it in the net every other game but yes the back room staff are world class, they have multiple European trophies and have revolutionised the PL!

Id rake losing the ball more for more goals and assists
You're talking like the two aren't interconnected. I'd gamble that Garnacho costs the team more chances than he creates. Although he is one of the few guys on the team that actually gets into dangerous positions.

Hojlund got plenty of service in the game vs Wolves for instance and he did absolutely feck all. He was nowhere near a good number of crosses and passes. This has been a recurrent theme all season long.
With his stats, it's not just about not getting service, he plays a major role in this situation

And that game was something of an outlier in our season. Hardly surprising that you aren’t in the right space when they players haven’t been consistently delivering into those areas all season.

Until we have repeated patterns in our attack it’s really hard for any forward to anticipate their teammates. In fact you start going to the wrong place because you’ve given up on the ball being played to where it should be.

That doesn’t mean Hojlunds movement is good (it isn’t) but it has also got worse as he’s lost form and confidence and trust in his teammates. It’s a mutual situation.
