Wouldn’t it be lovely to go 2 or 3 goals up in the first half and then we can relax and enjoy the game.

We’re the only team in the top 6 incapable of doing that.

The irony of this post is that we actually did that against this very team this season.. We went up 2-0 inside of 50 minutes and added another later to beat them 3-0. Bournemouth had 7 shots all match. 2nd half was very much a relaxed affair. Actually had Maguire & Lindelof as the starting CBs. .

That was over 4 months ago. I think the point stands.

We had 2 goal leads at half time againt both Spurs and Sevilla, that was really relaxing.

I don;t think we will beat Chelsea so this is a must win game.

No excuses and no time for shitting ourselves on an away day again . They have to win this.

Bournemouth are gash, and they are on the beach. It's a formality.

We have the better team. Turn up and we will win. Pressure is then off with us needing just 1 win from 2 home games.

The way Fulham played us off the park in the cup game until the Mitrovic meltdown has me worried especially as they will be out for some revenge. Lets get it done against these and Chelsea please but the United way is the most difficult.

If we win this game - we will get top-4 - I just can't see us not beating Fulham or Chelsea at home.

Don’t get why people think Bournemouth won’t try because they have nothing to play for. Surely there fans…. The fans pay a lot to come and watch them so they’re gonna try and send them home happy.

I’m with you on this one. Win tomorrow and it’s done. We’re winning at least 1 of our home games remaining.

Except we had grown into that game at that point and were taking to them. His meltdown came after Sancho's goal was blocked by Willian's arm. If Willian doesn't block that goal it would have been 1-1 with us having the momentum

So were they not trying when Chelsea who couldn't buy a goal or a win, scored 3 against them? Or when West Ham went in there a few matches ago and put 4 on them?

The rests before the games will be very important.. people are forgetting how good we were a few months back.. the schedule fecked us over..

So if no Rashford, I'd just go same lineup as last week then. Garnacho and fred impact subs, Shaw left back with Lindelof partnering Varane, right back whatever either one works.

They would have tried yes but just lost. People have the impression that they’re not gonna try at all. We’ll have to work hard for the win. People think they’ll just gift us the win.

Knowing us, we will probably lose this match and then beat Chelsea and Fulham at home to narrowly secure top 4

nah we will win this match, then draw late to chelsea. Get all that pressure mounting for the last fulham game.

I don't think people are under the illusion now that a team will just give us a win, especially when we are away.. I think some people just are speaking with the presumption that if we aren't complete shite and can actually put away a couple of chances and don't have a massive DDG or defensive blunder that directly leads to a goal we should win. Obviously that's easier said than done since it could end up like West Ham where we really should have been up 2 or 3-0 in the 1st half with some of the chances we had that we didn't capitalize on.

People seem to forget we play 38 cup finals a season.

If this were true then the phrase being on the beach wouldn’t be a thing.
I remember when we were head to head with City for 4th place in Pellegrinis last season and they played Swansea away. Their manager rested half the team for the last fecking game because they were off to the Euros in the summer.

We need to win this to give a little bit of wriggle room, Same starting 11 as Wolves. Unless Rashford is fit to start.

It’s been my experience that the ‘ nothing to play for’ idea is absolute bunk. Especially when Manchester United are involved. The will play like their lives depend on it believe me.
They won't but to test this I "see" your lives depend on it and raise you a "not interested" - please respond. I need you to accept that my knowledge is far superior to yours. Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the home match.
Our away form is abysmal, so we are unlikely to go up 2 or 3 goals in the first half.

I think you need to use the possessive "their" rather than there. There most commonly means “at that point” or “in that place.” Where as you are using "there" as the possessive so it needs to be "their"

Safe mid-table teams are usually the best teams to play because, as Paul Merson once pointed out, these fellas are going off on holidays in a fortnight. They don't want to spend their holidays on a treatment table, on crutches or in a cast.

Sure, Bournemouth will want to win in front of their fans for their final home match, but are they going to put in one of those maniacal, energetic performances you see from relegation threatened teams at this stage of the season? This is a much more favourable fixture for us than say, Everton or Leeds away would be, who are both fighting for their lives.

Having said that, if we continue our trend of not taking chances when they arise, we're only going to give Bournemouth more confidence as the game goes on. We need to start tomorrow's game with pace and intent, not one of these slowly-slowly, ease our way into the game starts we've been putting in away from home.

My bad. Thanks for the English lesson

De Gea (because we have no other viable choice)
    Dalot Varane Lindelof Shaw
    Casemiro Fred
    Antony Bruno Garnacho
    Rashford.

Last game at home for them . You can be sure it’s their cup final tomorrow

I'm sure they'll try, but we really should beat a team with a midfield partnership of Rothwell-Lemar and Mepham at RB. That's real mediocre stuff.
