Shaw have been very poor since he got his new contract. He does not play with the same motivation as before. He is back to playing reactively and with little contribution going forward. He seems to regress back to last seasons form. It looks like giving him a new contract after a few decent performance in the hope he was back to his best is a big mistake.

    Spot on.

Not every single line they say obviously … that would be too obvious. But then I thought my post was too. Perhaps it's a language thing as it's subtleties that might be going over your head.

The only thing that shocked me on BT was that they were shocked how bad we were. As someone who watches every game I think Utd fans have become accustomed to it.

You're right. Jose did a very shit job stopping that cross coming in low.

Jose has done a shit job of choosing to play reactive football. Always defending, conceding possession, trying to hoof it out on the perchance something comes off.
The cross wouldn't be coming in under Klopp and Pep. We'd be too busy attacking. But go ahead, let's just buy and give him more players to ruin.

Anybody else think no we need to replace Fred with Herrera?
It will give our midfield more stability and control. Fred doesn’t protect our defense as well as Herrera.

Ed has won so much in his career of pro manager and he knows better than Mourinho do we need defender or not.

Even if he got his CB, we would still leak goals, that back four has no protection and thats not on Ed.

Missed most of the half. How have we performed defensively?
Brainfarts and no awareness of runners. I am firmly in the Mourinho out camp because I don't think he will get us playing the way we want or need but I will still support him, it's not all his fault. It has been plainly obvious though that we need to get him a real CB, that's what his success as a manager has been built on.

Fred was very good to me. Sure he was sloppy at points but he was the only one who could match their intensity and added some quality to his play too.

Everyone else in the midfield or wide positions have let the game pass them by. Credit to Sanchez too for his hard work and assist.

That would be okay if we just didn't offer him a fat contract. Oops. He needs to work on positioning on the whole.

It was a shocking decision to award him a five year contract with hefty pay rise. Should have offered him same terms or told him to sod off. We could do so, so much better.

People talking about a good final 20 minutes of the half...

We've had one shot on target
Fred had a clear cut chance and blew it, and Sanchez was wrongly called offside on what would be a certain goal, your stats don't say whole story really..

Not today no. We have just defended a corner and Shaw was picking up in the middle. It was Matas responsibility and he switched off as usual

I see , but still we concede a shit ton from the left side. He needs to take reposibility for his flank

We need both the way we're playing at the moment. You're right but Fred is the only person winning the ball.

It is time to turn Matic into a central defender and bring Herrera. Matic may be a better central defender.

    I'm sorry mate but

You're delusional if you think either of them are up to the task. They're not a patch on the players our rivals have in their positions. 18 goals conceded in 11 games with just one clean sheet. If anything, I'm not being scathing enough.

Good to see you're still at it... Not many of us left. But on topic, I disagree.... They are up to it, we got outworked as a team and were done tactically. Hoping to see a few adjustments next half.

Edit: Feck me just saw a Fox propaganda advert :lol::lol:

Herrera should be on for Matic

It's not like Bournemouth have got maldini and beckenbauer in their defence. Why did they dominate us?
Matic in midfield also hindered us but the reason why he plays is because of just how bad our centre backs are. Bournemouth centre backs aren’t world class but they’re better than ours in most if not all departments.

Worrying thing is the difference in quality. They are miles ahead of us. Eddie Howe has done a brilliant job, fair play to him. We are entering Liverpool times here, years in the wilderness

We look all over the place at the back.

Feel sorry for Young, he’s been completely left on his own with no cover from Mata. He needs a bit more protection as Bournemouth are good on the break. Either put Mata central or get him off.

Need greater protection from Matic too, again, either he pulls his socks off or get him off.
