We are easily one of the worst away teams in the top leagues, and that’s before all the injuries. Allianz Arena is one of the most intimidating places in all of Europe and tends to be a slaughterhouse in the Champions League. I don’t think Bayern have lost a game at home in that competition since 2019, but I'm too lazy to confirm it. And you can bet it’s going to be packed for this. I expect these players to first shit themselves and then get shit on by Bayern.

6:0. Conservative, since Bayern are not that good themselves.

    Onana
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Reguillon
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Rashford Bruno Garnacho
    Hojlund

A system without any wingers or attacking width is a piece of shit system that has no hope of working in the modern game. Get the wingers back on the pitch. It's simply a must to perform well here. If he can't motivate a bounce back, then what's he doing?

It's not a must win, but the performance is a must. If it's a shit performance, then it's time to look at our options.

I am not so sure about home wins. But Bayern has not lost a group match since ages with only three draws. The last one was one against PSG in 17/18 that cost Ancelotti the job.

Since then just wins and three draws. One against Atletico Madrid in 19/20 when Bayern was already through and playing with a C-team - and two against Ten Hag's Ajax in 18/19.

If I were ETH I'll set strictly to play on the counter. Put bodies behind the ball and use the pace of Rashford and Hojlund. The way we've tried to play vs Tottenham, Arsenal, Brighton has gotten us beaten by multiple goals.
    Onana
    Awb Lindelof Martinez Reguilon
    Scott Casemiro Eriksen
    Bruno
    Hojlund Rashford.
I doubt anyone out is fit enough to comeback in, so this is the best possible team. Forget about playing out from the back or a highline, a midblock-lowblock. Is the best option now. It will not be easy but if we try to play fancy and concede early, it will be a long night. With this type of set up our chances increases slightly.

Last time we visited here, Moyes was killing us.

A few months shy of a decade later, and with nearly a billion spent, let's see if we can manage to string more than 5 passes together in their third this time.

You know the answer. We cant string 5 passes at home to a midtable side, nevermind away to Bayern in the CL. Our players are chokers as well. We will be camped in our own half and hope for the best with Rashford and Bruno, as usual.

Progress, hope, youth, courage yadda yadda.

We're going to be absolutely swarmed in regards to a press. Is there one midfielder or attacker we have that you're confident in at shielding the ball under pressure from their press? There isn't one for me unless Amrabat plays.

When it was revealed ten Hag was joining, I was certain he'd bring in players of this ilk. I'm so disappointed with him bringing in the same old lightweight sludge.

De Jong bailed him out at Ajax.I wonder if he would be half as successful without him, he struck gold with him.

When you put it like that, it's grim isn't it.
I think we're finished as a top club.

He only had de Jong for one full season though.

I’ll never forget those 60 seconds of euphoria when Evra scored

"Hope" is Onana right? Cause Bruno was playing central defence at the end today. As every game passes, his position goes farther back. Might as well play him as GK next game. What's the worst that can happen? We'll get dicked either way.

Funny as feck.

Had to chuckle a bit at this one.

Think it will be a lot closer than you guys imagine.
You underestimate the ways in which United can surprise you. Bruno was playing CDM and then CD at the end in todays match.

Reading this thread you'd think it was DorHamburg visiting Munich.

I don't know if it works that easily. Just by putting some bodies in the midfield will help us that much, especially when one of them is Scotty MCT. They will pass between our lines with ease. Also ETH doesn't seem to have any plan B.
We can't be using that same line up as today, we need some fresh legs.

I say we field every member of the Glazer family in the first 11. If they can't be bothered to show an interest in games they should play and get a taste of our pain over and over and over and over and over again

We’ll probably see an almost identical team maybe AWB brought back in. Both Casemiro and Mctominay should be dropped but you can guarantee both will start. Easy win for Bayern.

Why? Is Martinez injured? Or you get some sadistic satisfaction from watching us get spanked by more than 7 goals?
I am posting in frustation and right now have the mindset that we will loose anyway so might as well rest Martinez, Case, Rashford and Rasmus. Blame it on the boogie and the booze.

Might (Actually will for sure) think differently tomorrow.

I am not usually a doom kind of guy.

The decisive one, the season everyone is referencing though.
    For short sighted people yes.

Ajax won their last CL group stage with 6 wins. They played excellent football throughout, it is an awful take.
