Free hit as far as i'm concerned. Nice test of our European credentials but not that arsed if we don't win. Good test for Ten Hag against a very technical team and coach.

Looking at La Liga table and Barca are doing great and will probably win the title for the 1st time since 2019. They’ve conceded only 7 goals so far this season which is impressive.

They should beat us comfortably over 2 legs or? I wouldn’t be too upset at all.

Loads of people selecting AWB over Dalot. Not sure about that. I’d probably go for Dalot on Thursday and AWB against Leicester.

Why? He's clearly been the better of the two recently. I'd definitely start with Wan-Bissaka.

I’s rather opt for Varane & Shaw with Malacia at LB. Both of them forged a great CB partnership together during the festive period when Martinez was still partying in Argentina.
Not a chance, it'll be Varane and Shaw
You’re probably right, but it just seems odd that we have 3 CB on the bench and 2 LB on the field.
Ten Hag does love his left footed CB though!

Barcelona in action at the moment, 1-0 ahead away to Villarreal and will go 11 points clear at the top of the La Liga with a win.

Don't look overly solid defensively, through balls and using Rashford pace could produce some joy. They look slick when attacking, certainly not a game for the likes of Maguire, Lindelöf to be playing in

Ideally need a few Barcelona players to consume a few dodgy paellas in Villarreal.

Why did we lose to fecking Sociedad
Why didn't we score 5, 6 goals against Omonia away? Could have. Oh wait, someone wanted to score 700th goal and whole team was bending over for him to score. :(
If we did, 0-1 away to RS would have been enough, no Barca games now, or for now.

De Gea, AWB, Varane, Shaw, Malacia, Casemiro, Fred, Bruno, Sancho, Rashford, Garnacho

Didn’t realise Sabitzer was also suspended, that’s a shitter as would have played him at 10 with Bruno right. Midfield is where this match will be lost.

    2-0 or 3-1

Have always believed we’d be going out since the draw and even more so now with injuries/suspensions etc.

At least there's not much at stake this time, unlike past meetings between the two clubs. If we win the EL then cool. If not who cares really

This will be tough. Barca are arguably Europe's form team along with Napoli. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over us going out at this stage honestly, focusing instead on the league and FA cup. The Europa league is a gruelling competition at the best of times, but it's even worse with an extra game.

Ten Hag will demonstrate his European prowess in this match

    We will slap them :D

People are far too fearful. La Liga is currently a good bit behind the Premier League. The former Span and Real Madrid manager is in a relegation battle in England!

Have booked tickets for the match at OT. Hopefully we can hold them off at Camp Nou and then nick it at home with a late winner.
Not been watching La Liga but looks like Barca are winning most of their matches by one goal. So I would say we have a pretty good chance of keeping them out

Crazy that Newcastle have just one more game from now until the EFL Cup Final on 26th Feb. Erik needs to get the right balance for the Barca matches as we need to win EFL Cup and finish top 3 in PL.

They've scored 42 and conceded 7 goals in 20 league games this season. I'd say they're pretty good

Not good enough to get out of the Champions League group though. We’ll see what dominating La Liga really means on Thursday.

EtH will have the squad prepared, along with Casemiro. Whether or not the intensity and focus is there to the level needed, not sure.

But no doubt that Barca won't have faced a team like United this season, aside from Real. To that, Barca is out of CL...they may be in good form domestically, but this is a tested and battle hardended team they are facing across two legs.

Want United to turnover Barca because they are arrogant pricks who think they immune to many things including sanctions, but United have bigger fish to fry in England on 3 fronts.
