Who are the other high ups sat between SJR and SAF. Bald guy looked distinctly unimpressed

Do they often all rock up at away games or could it mean something (ETH getting the sack hopefully)

Pretty much the full line up. Brailsford, Berrada, Asworth and Wilcox all there.

Oh bore off. Keep your "real fan" rhetoric elsewhere, people don't have to agree with you.
I didn’t make an argument for anyone to agree or disagree with? You obviously agree with the other poster who wanted the manager sacked even if we win because he didn’t pick the players he wanted him to pick? Got it. I should know better than to expect common sense on here by now I suppose.

Fair play to Evans. Somehow he is United's best defender in 2024.

A bit of a dull game so far, but we've performed fairly well. Villa haven't really shown up yet—whether that's down to us playing well or them lacking motivation after their midweek win is hard to say.

My concern is that they'll likely come out stronger in the second half. Hopefully, we can maintain our defensive solidity while also stepping up our attacking threat in the final third.
They're waiting for our mistakes and a quick transition. That's how we lose goals. But it isn't happening because we have had enough cover.

It's alright so far. Certainly look more defensively sound throughout the team, although haven't done much in an attacking sense other than the early Rashford chance.

Shame for Maguire that he got what looks like a bad injury (at first glance) just when he's gotten a chance to claim a starting place.

I don't have much faith that we'll go on and win this, but we might not lose.
If they score one.. it is over ..
They will push on the 2nd half . It will be 1-0 or 2-0

This is a certified non-knee jerk reaction post. Verified and certified.
Why? Garnacho was barely involved in that half and twice went for shot when passing was the better option. Bruno was his usual self giving the ball away and creating feck all even when he had it. Mainoo is on a yellow and Watkins already tried to get him sent off. Not sure if it's worth risking.

€100m on de ligt and Martinez only for them to warm the bench for Maguire and Evans for the rest of the season would be pretty funny
Don’t forget Casemiro (£60 million) and Ugarte ( £60Million ) for a youth player that came through and Eriksen a free transfer .

Surprisingly Villa didn't threaten us apart from some nicely located free kicks.

Us on the other hand we are just holding on, nothing to write home about attacking wise and tbf decent defensively, our front 4 are just horrible.

Amad & Zirkzee should come on, and maybe Ugarte and Cas to shore up the middle, Bruno, Garna and Hojlund out.

Villa have been rubbish. We've managed to defend better, that's it.
I don't see any sparks of optimism, if anything Emery is going to fire a rocket up Villa's backside and they'll batter us in the 2nd half.

I think we'll tire sooner. The last 5 minutes they were coming more into the game. We've got three players on yellow and both the centre backs suffered knocks. Eriksen and Mainoo normally last 60 minutes.

And now we hear Lindelof for Mazraoui!

I have a bad feeling this is going to be like the Palace game except Villa have got better players than they have, and will punish us.

The stack difference in application, passion and quality between Evans and the rest of our players is staggering. If only his legs were younger. Tell you everything between Fergie’s players and the current scrubs playing for us
    Yep

I think it's clear why, apart from bad form of others, he has gone with them. We're effectively parking the bus, and those two are the most dominant in the air. We've set up to try to reduce them to crosses and hope we can catch them with some Oleball. It's basically playing for a 0-0 and hoping for a bit of luck.

I pray the next manager we get has the balls to speak out on these disgraceful refereeing performances we always seem to get screwed by.
or just send SAF out there! what can they do to him, banish him from the touchline?

Sorry but if this ends up being "enough" to save his job we may as well give up. Our striker (whoever that may be) will also struggle when the other two wide players are more concerned with scoring themselves. No team cohesion what so ever. Bruno moaning at others despite making more errors himself.
Nothing i've seen over the last few years suggests it will get any better than this and today is with fresh players according to ETH.
    So uninspiring to watch.

Why can't we try Zirkzee as the 10 behind Højlund just once? So obvious it would be an improvement but no..
