I think LVG will go with :

    Romero

    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw

    Carrick Schneiderlin

    Januzaj Depay Young

    Rooney
Mata was one of our better players, can't see him being dropped. Young maybe though. Januzaj, Mata and Memphis behind Rooney has some great potential I think. Especially when Pedro gets in as well.

2-3 - they'll score first. Everthing about what we saw last season suggests this is going to be a bitch of a game. Carrick and Schneiderlin need to be well organised obviously. Perfect game for a non sharp Rooney though, he'll probably score after shinning one onto the crossbar and it rebounding in off the back of his head.

I won't be able to watch it. 3.45am kick off and I have a really busy day tomorrow.
A class of 6-8 year old girls need to be entertained for 6 hours. It's going to kill me.

The Premier League has confirmed there are currently no plans to delay the kick off of tonight's Aston Villa v Manchester United clash.

A spokesman confirmed the PL are aware of the delays on the M6 and are continuing to monitor the situation.

We'll bring you any further updates here.

I was thinking of taking Mad Max Fury Road in for them to watch, but we'll probably just make jewellery and stuff.
Were you seriously thinking of Mad Max? You'd be the only one in your group who'd enjoy it  The girls would have nightmares and scream for mummy.

If I get up at 4:40am for the match and find its been delayed, I shall be very unhappy.

Each time these two teams meet, I cannot help but remember that goal of Macheda in 2009. One of the most emotional moments that I have ever had as a Manchester United fan. Goosebumps even now!!!

So, how about the history between these two teams? Here is a summary:

    Total number of matches: 174
    Man United wins: 91 (52%)
    Man United losses: 45 (26%)
    Draws: 38

    League: 160 matches
    Man United wins: 81
    Man United losses: 41
    Draws: 38

    Home (80): 53 wins, 11 losses and 16 draws
    Away (80): 28 wins, 30 losses and 22 draws

    Goals (home): 172-69
    Goals (away): 123-138

Last meeting at Villa Park: 1-1 that stopped our winning streak last year. I'm obviously expecting a tough match, but a win today will be huge for us!

Anyone know of any good rivers post game of the match in full? PM would be nice..
I won´t make it to watch it live but hoping to not know how the scoreline is and watch it afterwards if there are any good rivers available.

You could always bet on Benteke bullying our CBs. Is this Gestede guy similar?

When do you guys reckon we get to see our Afro man?

3 game suspension, so might see him in the CL game or Swansea away. I kind of missed him vs Tottenham but if he returns, that possibly pushes Herrera down another spot in the pecking order.

Originally went for 2-1 to United, but I'm unable to change my vote to a 3-0 win to us... just a hunch. Probably the same XI/subs as the Spurs game too, only we'll look better this evening, as Villa are torrid.

So much negativity around the club at the mo that I'm actually not looking froward to this. Play like we did on Saturday and we're in for a long night

Would like to see Januzaj and Herrera in the starting line-up.

    Goal Keeper
    Darmian Smalling Evans Shaw
    Schneiderlin Herrera
    Mata Januzaj Depay
    Rooney
Will most likely get the same line-up as last game.

that would be exciting, to say the least. would love to see it. considering januzaj can play out wide, might be worth switching mata into his favourite position.

I put Herrera in for Young, wishful thinking I know, but you never know.

herrera deserves a good birthday present, that'd suffice.

funny thing is, herrera must have one of the best goals to minutes played ratio of any of our players. you'd think he'd get more minutes.

I think it'll be the same starting XI that played against Spurs. I don't see him changing it though I'd love to see januzaj come in for young. Think he could really add something to this side.

Wondered why this thread was getting so many posts. Had no idea we were playing tonight. Friday night Premier League games is new and scary.

Herrera would be one of the first names on my teamsheet, personally.

LVG proved last season that he has a reluctance to play our better or more in-form players, however.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose this one - we don't look like scoring many goals with Rooney up front and Villa have more attacking threat than Spurs. Good manager Sherwood

I wonder how many people are going to miss this game because they thought it was on a Saturday. Should be interesting to see how they react
