There's no doubt that the tracking back wasn't great (players weren't quick enough and those that were there were defending the same area) but what Villa did would have been no different if Lindelof just wasn't there, he had no impact on the player on the ball despite being the one defending him for 30 yards.

That's giving massive benefit of the doubt to Lindelof.

The reality is that we were being countered and Lindelof didn't recognise the urgency of the whole play. Instead, he passively as usual did nothing. He has many many many many previous of doing nothing as a means to 'defend'. He's not being proactive to cover for Martinez's mistake. He doesn't put himself in harm's way by being committed or making a decision. Just pathetic 'cover' defending all around.
