    Wow no AWB, Rashford or Ronaldo (assume he's still injured) at all with Maguire only on the bench

    RR is like the anti Ole
     
    Maguire on the bench and Rashford nowhere to seen. This pleases me.

    But my god the midfield…
     
    No Rashford in the squad, Maguire on the bench, Sancho on the bench in favor of Elanga-Ralf not pulling any punches. That midfield is the only worry. I think any doubts about VdB's future here has gone out the window, the lad is firmly 4th choice.
     
    Horrible line up, Diallo isnt even on the bench, nor is Martial.

    Elanga and Cavani up top is so poor, that offense isnt even top 4 quality.
     
    I do not know if I should laugh or cry. It is one of the weakest United starting 11 I have seen in a PL match. And why are there 2 goalkeepers on the bench but no Rashford? I hope Heaton or Henderson can play striker too. No matter what form Rashford is in, this does not help him getting back.

    Decent lineup imo but I don't like Matic and Telles. Anyway pretty excited to see Cavani Greenwood and Elanga.

    Henderson on the bench so him storming out must be horse shit.

    Rashford is not even on the bench and imo it's a good decision. Something is seriously wrong with him recently and him sitting out for a while maybe good for him.
     
    2 goalkeepers on the bench is a great idea.

    Needed to shore up that midfield and goes with 2 CMs again then we wonder why we can't control games.

    It baffles me how anybody could potentially expect VDB to start at this point. He never does. He only starts when we have no other option or the game is irrelevant. People get their hopes up for nothing.

    Rashford dropped from the squad completely is fair. He needs time out. We're going to need some Bruno and/or Mase magic to win this one. I hope Bruno will not play like a striker, but that's probably unlikely.
     
    When you think about it. Given the amount of money we’ve spent and spend on wages. That’s an awful team to have to put out away to an aggressive and in form team Matic and Fred in midfield against their 3. Free transfer Cavani leading the line with 2 academy lads. One woefully out of form and short of workrate and the other with it all to prove. It’s madness that we’ve spend so much and that’s it. The worst part is it’s not even a huge drop off in quality to our first 11

    Glad to see Rashford finally dropped.
     
    Happy Elanga got the start. That bench is really weak. No squad depth at all as evidenced by having 2 goalkeepers on the bench.

    It almost feels like the club are in some kind of 'constructive dismissal' operation with VDB; demoralize him so that he hands in a transfer request so they don't have to pay out a loyalty bonus (if such a thing exists).
     
    Surprised to not see Diallo on the bench. I guess they need to earn their spot on the bench.
     
    Are Rashford, Ronaldo, Amad, Maguire, AWB, and Shaw all injured? We don’t have any new cases atm, do we?

    come cry next to me..already crying myself…it’s not about the team changes, it is about the inconsistency in selection. For instance, i am happy that maguire is dropped, but does this mean lindelof is now a regular starter? No. It’s all experiments. Football manager

    Oh come on it's really not that bad.
    McTominay and Shaw suspended.
    Rashford clearly not in the right frame of mind right now.
    Ronaldo injured.
    Only questionable call there is DVB instead of Matic, but I think Rangnick's made the right call there. Need a more defensive minded player in there.
     
    Are McTominay, AWB, Shaw and Rashford all injured or is there something more going on?

    My faith in the manager is restored, regardless of how it pans out.
     
    At least they're missing McGinn. Had he and Luiz both started in midfield I'd have been concerned about them against our midfield.

    Greenwood,Cavani and Bruno were all key players for us last year when we were comfortably a top 4 team. There are no excuses today.

    Diallo is a championship level player.

    Was going to say I thought he was playing in AFCON but I recall seeing his tweet from training the other day.
     
    If Matic just hovers ahead of our CBs it should give licence to Dalot and Telles to get high up the pitch and offer width. Hoping Elanga is on the left and Mason on the right.
