Need some urgency in our play in the next half.Take off fletcher and bring in Carrick into DM while putting mcnair as CB.

To be fair, it's gotta be hard playing with 10 men, even against Villa. Former footballer Darren Fletcher? Lovely chap and all, but if we're serious about top 4 shouldn't really be having his testimonial in a league match.

Also, the tactic appears to be create space for Jonny Evans, for him to be an utter coward with the ball and go backwards everytime. What a plummet his trajectory has taken.

Young and Rooney look good, and Falcao is running his socks off.

he does show for the ball. Agreed the midfield trio was never going to work. Thats not the role mata was assigned to, rooney and fletcher are playing in that role, they're are not doing enough to link up play with the front 3, instead pass it out wide 90% of the time. I would like to see carrick out from the back and moved into replace one of fletch or rooney.

Massive overstatement. This half just goes to show what we knew already. This 3-5-2 system is new to the players and although we retained possession well, we were somewhat slow in our build-up and failed to create good chances.

But overall I'd say we've been better today playing 3-5-2 than on other occasions. Just need to find that cutting edge and involve our fantastic forwards more in the game.

Ive just seen the goal, how is that an awful defensive mistake? apart from missing the header hes did everything right. Hes(Benteke) literally curled the ball round 3 other united players with using his left foot. I don't get what people wanted Evans to do from there.
