Can’t understand why Onana needs resting? Arsenal will be shooting at every opportunity, strange decision Bayindir hasn’t looked up to scratch in any game he’s played.

Very strange, he's been really poor and we will have even less confidence with him in goal

Shows he is looking ahead and not just at the next game.

On a separate note I don't think Amorim has had a single calm week at the club yet without any drama to respond to. Must be so exhausting.

Irrelevant who's in goal, we're going out of the competition. I'd happily sacrifice this for the Europa

Can only think that Ruben wants to send the message that nobody can take their place for granted so that Onana does not get too comfortable.
He also gave him the game against Spurs, he's just using the second choice keeper in domestic cups. It's not abnormal.

Hoping Arsenal will rest a few key players since they are playing Spurs a few days later

I'm fine with Bayindir starting actually. We must have signed him for some reason. Let's see what he's got. It's a cup so feck it.

Bayindir is a starter, Rashford available, he's going to rotate again . I'd rather see some momentum with the team , OK its FA cup anything can happen, I'm hoping he goes strong next week and then in Europa league games.

The only rationale conclusion I can make with Bayinder in is that Rubin wants us out the cup to focus on Euro

Bayinder’s last (first too?) game was an absolute disaster, he’s utterly useless

We're the defending holders. Can't treat the FA Cup like an old tin chamber pot. We need to put out our strongest XI against Arsenal and Saints.
What you're seeing is how much we trust our lot to show up 3 (!) games in a row.

Onana is capable of mistakes but Bayindir could really struggle again, especially with Arsenal's corners etc. Arsenal are not in great form atm but will want to respond after Newcastle defeat and as good as we were at Liverpool this could be a loss, even more so if Amorim is rotating in the way he did at Spurs in Carabao Cup.

Was sweet to beat Soulless City against the odds in last years final and I have many happy memories in this competition, the FA Cup was the first trophy I've seen United win (FA Cup in 1990) it's long lost prestige however and United have never successfully defended the FA Cup although got close 20 years ago when should have beaten Arsenal in the final.

Starting a 2nd choice keeper who has been dreadful in his appearances thus far shows Ruben sees the Premier League and Europa league as more of a priority.

A lot of managers play the 2nd choice keeper in every domestic cup game. I don't mind it. It keeps Onana on his toes if Bayindir has a good game.

Maybe Amorim wants to protect Onana from bad press/pressure post the Arsenal game. We all know Arsenal will be very strong in set pieces and if Onana has a blooper, then his confidence is shot and all the media/pundits will be targeting him next week.

Bad game for Bayindir and he’s still a number 2.

Very difficult game, can't see us winning this one but hope we give a good account of ourselves against tough, physical opposition.

Hopefully we deal with the off-the-ball fouling and spiteful fouls well because against an Arteta team that's what you get.

I don’t think Bayindir has looked bad apart from that one incident in the spurs game. Other than that and the Newport game, when have we really had a good look at him?

Sure but I think the concern is not the general principle of changing keepers sometimes, but specifically the fact that our second choice keeper is Bayindir. He has looked awful for us so far when given chances.

I was optimistic against City, and against Liverpool, so I'm going to continue my faith in this team as game raisers so am fully backing Bayindir to have a good game and for us to win.
