Can’t understand why Onana needs resting? Arsenal will be shooting at every opportunity, strange decision Bayindir hasn’t looked up to scratch in any game he’s played.
Bayindir had been agitating for more game time or a move away, we have brought Elyh Harrison back from loan and had him training with the 1st team, and have been linked with brining in a no.2 goalie in to replace Bayindir.... I get that the no.2 often gets game time in the cups but when everything seems to point to Bayindir leaving this month or in the summer I do not see the point in weakening the team, if nothing else his distribution is not a patch on Onana, last match he had a mare with saves (but I am sure he is better than that), maybe he has a clause saying he should be selected for cups but then he didn't play at all under ETH so cannot see that either.

Hope it is a choice that doesn't backfire on Amorim we could do with the momentum of another good performance, maybe Bayindir is better at defending corners, although the last match would not indicate that is the case.

Playing Bayindir is about getting the whole squad buying into the head coach and believing in him. The less discontent, the better.

Had a dream that we'd win this game 1-0 last night.
We were wearing white and blue and the goalscorer was Rashford though.
    BUT IT'S SOMETHING!!

I expect we will be wearing a blue and white kit tomorrow, and Rashford has been named in the squad….

He also gave him the game against Spurs, he's just using the second choice keeper in domestic cups. It's not abnormal.
Yeah it's normal for 2nd GK to play cup games, I don't know why some are being drama queens about it!!

I think it was clear to him from Amorim that he will get a chance in the cups this season to show his worth as a no.2 m. Ten Hag never played him so no one knows what he is capable of.

Amorim wants to make a decision on whether he is worth the spot in the squad when we are challenging for trophies, which means he can start this cup game and recover from his last performance.

    Two things can happen:

-. He plays a blinder and United don’t have to buy a back up goalkeeper in the summer: we give him more chances to impress.

    - he plays average or poorly, and Amorim asks the club to replace him. He has to stand up to the Arsenal assault on the set pieces. If he isn’t good enough, he can’t hide after this saying he never got the chances. Also; United are likely to make more money on a sale if he plays cup games - which is good for PSR.

The most realistic way into Europe next season is winning the FA Cup. But the United way is one stop forward, two steps back. After a positive performance at Anfield, the karmic rebound is coming.

Because people have written him off and don't reckon we can win a tough game with him in goal.

Onana struggled for months during which he played game after game before settling in and doing quite well (whether it's good enough, we'll see).

Bayindir played one game last season and a handful this season, but people have already written him off as useless.

Genuinely about 8 red cards today with VAR and hyper slow motion replays from 8 different angles.
Probably. Note lot of players moaning to the ref. Good times.
Was that…was that a game the invincibles™ lost?
Yeah, should have lost more too. Ruud missed that last minute penalty.

    Arsenal wins 3-0

I know Amorim will rotate players where we have a bit more depth, but we can't be playing Casemiro away at Arsenal.

Ugarte and Mainoo have to play or we're basically overrun.

The fact he’s confirmed Bayinder is playing makes me think we’ll see some rotation.

    Maybe something like this;

    Bayinder
Yoro - De Ligt - Martinez
    Amad - Ugarte - Casemiro - Malacia
    Bruno - Zirkzee - Garnacho

What’s all this nonsense about Arsenal not allocating the full amount of seats for our fans due to safety? They had this problem with Liverpool aswell. Worried they’ll get out sung.

Can’t see Amad playing RWB. Dalot will most likely play. He likes Amad in the number 10 now.

If we knock out Arsenal, it will be as big a shock as Plymouth's win yesterday :0)

I would've kept Onana in. Arsenal there for the taking and we need to win this or Europa to have a chance of European football.

You better play good today son or i will block you on instagram

I'm not as worried as many seem to be about him. Ruben must have seen enough of him in training by now to know if he was the complete liability some people make him out to be.

I think we’ve a better chance of winning Europa. Feel like we’ll end up going all out for that to get back into the main European competition.

Ye to be fair because he rarely plays and on the odd occasion he did he made them mistakes everyone thinks he’s a liability now. He may put it in a good shift. Onana as been very good in the first half of the season but then started making mistakes again.

Let’s hope they use the right ball so Arteta can’t complain about it.

Really wouldn't have brought bayindir in for today's game though, given arsenal's tactics at set pieces. Even though onana struggled against them in the league I still think he would fare better. Playing bayindir just seems like setting both us and him up to fail

Can see a dodgy decision being given today considering there’s no VAR. Don’t understand why VAR isn’t used in a competition like this until the latter rounds. We can’t trust our referees at the best of times.

Because lower league clubs don't have the setup for it. Still weird to have a competition where it's only used from some stage on

Dodgy decisions were given with VAR as well.

It’s still the same shite referees operating VAR. There’s just as many terrible decisions with it as there is without it.

Yeah - don't use it at all if that's the case

Surely the FA will allow Arsenal to play with a custom made Arteta ball for this after the midweek game
