My team for this would be:

    Onana
    AWB, Lindelof, Martinez, Dalot
    Casemiro, Mctominay
    Sancho, Bruno, Rashford
    Hojlund/Martial

    4-2-3-1

Need Casemiro and Mctominay to concentrate on the midfield and defensive jobs and only go forward very sparingly. Leave the attacking to the front 4. Only way we can get anything out of this match.

I would pack the midfielders with bodies for this one. We could easily get overrun, so keep it tight for 70 minutes then bring on Hojlund and see what happens

All of a sudden it’s looking like a quite different United team if Reguilon and Hojlund start. I’m hopeful Ten Hag has a plan for the midfield as I can see us getting overrun here. Best bet would be to soak up pressure and hit them on the break I think.

    Onana
    AWB Lindelof Martinez Reguilon
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Hojlund

    Onana
    Wan Bissaka
    Lindelof
    Martinez
    Reguilon
    Casemiro
    McSauce
    Bruno
    Antony
    Hojlund
    Rashford

United can win this. Hojlund to be the hero. UTFR

You cannot expect a new youth player, with very little senior level experience, who is only 20 to come into one of the biggest games of the season and be our star player.
The odds of that happening are near zero.
Realistically, we are going to lose.

    Hojlund hattrick.

    4 - 3 Arsenal.

If Hojlund can score even 1 goal, I'd say that that would be a stellar debut.

Didn’t Marcus bang in two against Arsenal on his debut whilst being younger than 20 ?

    Just saying

Look at Barcelona. They have a 16 (sixteen) year old player starring this season. And he is called up to the national team at 16 already.

When a player is good enough, he is old enough

it was a chest thumping post, not an actual prediction.

I do think we can win this game though. Arsenal have hardly been terrifying thus far.

United tend to lack any in-game intelligence, so I can't see them pulling off any great tactic for this one.

But I would try to frustrate Arsenal and keep it at 0-0 then bring on Garnacho and Hojlund for the last 30 minutes to get the win..

    Onana
    Wan B - Lindelof- Martinez - Dalot
    Casemiro
    Fernandes - Eriksen

    Antony - Hojlund - Rashford

Midfield 3 deeper than we have been playing with pace up top to counter and ball players able to pick them out in midfield

Games away from home against the top sides have been guaranteed losses under ETH, needs to change quickly but can’t see it happening tomorrow. I expect them to completely dominate and beat us comfortably as we seem pretty inept in these games.

It's arsenal, not prime Real Madrid.

We're long overdue a win there and a bit of luck there. The way we lost last season with the ball deflecting to Nketiah off someone's arse cheek when it was otherwise heading out for a goal kick

I wrote a comment couple of days ago on this thread and was hoping that Amrabat transfer will be completed on time in order to put him in a double pivot with Casemiro against Arsenal in order for us not to get embarrassed. He won't be able to play, unfortunately.

But, good news is that Hojlund is available and he will share the CF minutes with currently (barely) healthy Martial. Rashford will play on the left where he's most dangerous.

Midfield will get overrun with Eriksen(probably?) before he gets out of gas and substituted by McTominay at 60th minute(ETH's sub pattern). Then Arsenal will swarm us in the last half an hour and we won't see the ball much likely and will get totally disjointed. Only Bruno Hollywood pass to Rashford on the counter will be a remaining tactic.

Arsenal will drop Havertz for this game and start with Rice - Partey - Odegaard midfield which we will struggle to break through. Wouldn't be surprised also to see Ramsdale dropped for Raya for this game. Saka will rinse whoever is our left back and that will be the biggest defensive problem. I can see a penalty conceded by fouling Saka in the box by the left back or Licha. I would bet that happens, actually.

Considering our current form and injury struggles, I would consider a decent resistance, non-blowout a success here. Just don't allow City, Liverpool, Brentford humiliating away games from last season to repeat and it will be ok, I guess - respectable loss is expected of me.
So really looking forward to the game then ? :D

This has the feel of the 3rd game of last season against the scousers every man and his dog writing us off. 2-1 United. Let's go.

3 months might be an overreaction but very good chance he misses this game

Martial will start up front and we’ll play with 10 men until Hojlund comes on.

    Onana
    AWB Lindelof Martinez Dalot
    Casemeiro Eriksen (or McT)
    Bruno
    Antony Martial Rashford

Hojlund to sub in once Martial starts dipping his head.

3-1 Utd. Too much negativity around the club and the doomlords will have to wait a few weeks before they can start their Ten Hag out murmurs like I've seen this week.

Rashford Hojlund and Antony to score.

Who's playing LB for you, Reguillion or will you stick with Dalot?

Saka going to dominate that side so think that will be the difference as his level is now good enough to win these type of games with goals or assists.
