Yup and I hear he is still sliding now

stop looking for errors here, we were just unlucky
Got a feck ton of injuries and were the away side

    another day we win
Don’t think it’s unlucky when a ball falls to an attacker and 3 of our defenders don’t close him down.

don’t think it’s unlucky when for 5 minutes if the game we walk around the pitch, with the midfield not dropping down to receive a pass from the back 4. Why do we want to play slow? A counter attack takes what, 15-30 seconds? We are too separated on the pitch

Evans was being fouled, these things happen fast, they are not watching it on the tv like the arm chair fan you are
so yes that was unlucky that it went in off a deflection

I have no idea, how on earth we have ended up playing Arsenal with Jonny and Slab Head is a bit of a enigma, obviously it comes down to our debt and you know who.
What a sad state of affairs.
Was just thinking if he hasn't it is more games he can injure himself in.

Years of appalling recrutiment that seem to show no sign of ending. We overpay for average players. Is there really not a young player at the club who can better than Evans? He really looked out of place when he came on

Overall, we played an excellent game today. We limited arsenal to a few half chances and were dangerous on the few occasions we got forward. Compared to our away performances last season, this was a big improvement. Absolutely love ETH's honesty. Dropping players for poor training is spot on. Hopefully we can get back on track after the international break and the injuries aren't too bad. Finishing that game with Evans and Maguire at CB was feckin terrifying! Rasmus looked the part when he came on - can't wait to see what he can do. We'll beat Brighton.
THis is rubbish. We didnt play an 'excellent game' and then lose 3-1. Arsenal let us have the ball in our own half as they knew we woudnt hurt them and they were right. We still cant retain posession, we cant defend set pieces, and our injury list so early in season raises big questions.

Arsenal's game plan gave them 2 decent chances all game( the last goal we obviously have to leave ourselves exposed going for equaliser). This idea that Arsenal were happy to let us pass it around the back with such ease does not stack up, they themselves were very lucky to get the win. Neither team played well if the truth be told

Why was noone on Rice at the back post?
    Couldn’t tell you mate
Maybe because we lost 2 defenders during the game and shit like that causes problems
You can have the perfect plan but when you end up having to bring on 2 players the opposition fans are cheering for when they step on the pitch, the odd mistake might appear

but if we are to ignore all of the good work we did all game because of one mistake then I guess you’ll never be happy
Arsenal away is probably the 2nd or 3rd hardest game we have in a calender year and we were a fraction away from the perfect away performance

What are you rambling about? You can lose 3-1 and still play well. Circumstances dictate everything. It was a 1-1 game until the 96th minute. "Arsenal let us have possession"? They were the fecking home team. Why would they be letting us do anything? As the home team it was on them to take the game to us. If we had gone there and attacked the game would have been over by half time. Stop throwing your toys out of the pram and see the game for what it was - an even contest decided extremely late by a deflected goal. We played well.

We strangled their wings out of game and they had only a glimpse of chances to create something from. Every our ball played to Rashford was almost very good chance.

Jeeez just read McNulty's summary of Rice's performance yesterday on the BBC. Utter, utter drivel. To read it you'd have though DR was the best midfielder to play in the premier league. Tripe like that makes it almost pointless to read their articles.

The media are desperate for him to do well and be worth that fee. They do this with most of the England players.

The game ends 1-1 and he gets the average rating his performance deserved.

While it feels terrible to lose yet another away game, I liked the performance. Thought we were also good at Spurs in 1st half.
Against Arsenal we’d likely have won the game if it wasn’t for such a small offside position from Garnacho. What I liked the most is the fact that I felt we were in the game and had control for large parts which is difficult when you play at Emirates.

Just hope results and performances will improve and that Amrabat will improve our midfield.

If you knew it was a McNulty article and decided to read on, then you've only yourself to blame!

The Evans Maguire thing is so simple minded thinking. Our 3 main Center backs are out, the other guy who can cover for the CB is out - Shaw. Any team apart from maybe Man City, would suffer in this situation too.

Evans shouldn't be a scapegoat here. He got thrown in at the deep end, and he could have done better, but it's not as if he was wholly responsible for that result. He's still a useful player to have around, imo.

I'm pretty sure Evans was only signed as a fifth or sixth choice centre back. Realistically, you are not going to get a great player for that role. In most cases, Evans will do the job he was brought in for; providing a bit of experience and cover where necessary.

It's not like he was absolutely terrible. He was a bit unlucky for the Rice goal - he probably should have been stronger, but it looked suspiciously like a foul.

The pile on is partly due to other factors, but I think it's the kind of signing that Fergie would have made for a bit of extra back up. If it weren't for our dire situation with injuries, he wouldn't have been thrown in there.

It's definitely not his fault he is absolutely past it and got thrown in. True.

I just wonder what the feck is our academy doing. They can't produce shit!!! How the feck we can't produce a single decent 5th choice CB or a 4th choice Left-back. Embarrassing. There needs to be a overhauling.
