    Our problem is Rashford is the only transition threat we have. Martial can’t run these days and Antony isn’t quick, and behind them Eriksen and Bruno are slow as well. So we get nice opportunities to break but have to slow it down because no one can beat a man for pace.
     
    Not doing to badly, at least we look reasonably solid. Still think the front 3 need to do more pressing and more tracking back, they jog to much for my liking. Bruno isn‘t on it yet this season, he needs to step up more.
     
    Old flaws on display. Despite Gary Nev going on with himself, I had no problem with us not making much in the first 25 minutes. We kept it tight, only gave away a couple of half chances and got our passing going. Didn't look uncertain. Got a goal with our first chance - only to lose concentration yet again and throw it away.

    We just have a fragility away from home that's hard to put your finger on, given that transition play has actually been a strength for us.

    To be fair, we saw out the half ok without major drama. But seeing out that spell after scoring and going in at 1-0 for half time would have been a very different story.

    Martial has been abject. Properly like playing without a striker. Rashford hasn't played well, but scored a banger so at least contributed. Antony got a lot of touches and did nothing with them.

    Midfield and defense were alright in general. Onana really does change how we play at the back, just a shame we don't have the forwards to match.

    Still feel like this game is there to win. Also feel like we could collapse at any time. Hope to see a few minutes of Hojland up front, he really can't be worse than Martial.

    He’s far more of a well rounded midfielder, definitely. He actually orchestrates things in a wider context, whilst Fernandes is more sporadic spikes of high level individual chances
     
    Martial is like a guy who went to a psychiatrist and went " I'm depressed change my life"
    The psychiatrist done his job or right, changed him from a paid professional footballer into a traffic cone.
    You wouldn't see stuff this good in Vegas with David Copperfield.
     
    Antony has been a strong outlet but as ever we don't have a passing and support style, it's very much see if you can get past these players, same for Rashford.

    We were shocked that we scored.
     
    That's a good half.

    Although we haven't created much with nullified them with our possession.
     
    We haven’t played that badly. We are away, we won 1 away game against top 9 clubs last season, so we are playing out of the press and it’s been working. Commentators and some people acting like this isn’t the plan with Onana. We are playing how we will play when our starters are back, and the gulf between Dalot and Shaw at left fullback, for instance, is huge.

    Eriksen’s pass was sumptuous, but he is not the mobile 8 we get with Mount (or 10, 8.5, whatever Mount will be playing). Most importantly, the press doesn’t work when Martial plays but he’s all we have as CF. Hojland will change all that, being a mad terrier.

    We are 1-1 at the half, they’ve had 2 shots on goal. It’s not the apocalypse.
     
    We’ve done ok but I get the feeling if Arsenal up the tempo they will dominate the second half. We really need more energy in midfield to combat them
     
    Get hojlund on and see what he can do. Got to be better than martial has been, atleast he has pace and lots of it, could be dangerous with rashy.
     
    Martial is no longer a footballer. He is zero threat, defenders hopes he stays healthy and play upfront for United. Maybe Sancho as a false 9 is better than a striker who does nothing.

    Everyone worships Bruno but it’s just too difficult to rely on that style of player at a certain point. The rest of the team has to be at such a high level that you make up for how shit he is when he isn’t having a creative masterclass.
     
    Good half considering we are playing with 10 men. Unleash Hojlund.
     
    Antony had a couple of cheeky dribbles where he actually got past someone.

    Almost every goal conceded is down to the a mistake or someone being left open by the opposition. But that doesn't mean it wasn't well worked with seemingly everyone being in very good positions with quick passing
     
    Not a great watch, but we've been better than I though we'd be, matched Arsenal in a lot of areas. I was concerned about Rashford before the game, but he has done his defensive duties brilliantly. Goal wasn't bad either. Shame we couldn't keep the lead longer. Was a great setup for counters for the rest of the game.

    Our right side of the defense is seriously letting us down. AWB can't shut Martinelli down. Lindelof was lucky against Nketiah after that stupid, lazy attempt at defending. Those two are a problem in our offense as well. Lindelof isn't good enough to drive with the ball and AWB isn't good enough to play passes down the wing or into midfield. Thus, our buildup is constantly failing. Nothing we can do in this game about that.

    I have no clue what to change with the options we have. Maybe Hojlund can put more pressure while we don't have the ball but I have no clue if he'll be any good at holding the ball up. One thing I do know is that Rashford should be kept on the left for the entire game. A draw would be a decent result, but we can win this game with a bit more precision on the ball.

    In your game is he beating his man occasionally and whipping a tasty cross into the box? Or is he cutting in side and trying to curl a left into the bottom corner?
