I'm not sure it's that - he just looks so heavy footed and slow, which I guess isn't a surprise given all the injuries he's had.We have no players who can break the press, its just sideward and backwards passing. We need desperately need a ball carrying midfielder.Any way to find out the most amount of passes that we have strung together in this half?Difficult first half and for long periods we were by far the 2nd best team. First part of the half we were awful, we had some good sequences on the ball when playing out but we had no idea on how to play through Arsenal and got lucky with Havertz doing the air shot.
On a more positive note, great goal by Rashford. Should have hung on longer.Hojlund on for Martial straight away. Even an halve fit Hojlund will offer more.
Well it’s an improvement. They haven’t been able to suffocate us with their pressing and force us into long balls. It’s a different matter that we anyway give it away after due to our attackers / midfielders being poor.Where is our captain? Bruno should control and command the midfield but he never does.
I honestly think we’re watching a different game. If our midfield was where Ten Hag wanted it to be it would be a lot more obvious as to what we’re doing hereSecond best all half. Onana plays with such big dick energy I love it . Just leaning back and never phased, never rushed, never panicking no matter who is around him. What a player.All that playing from the back with Onana getting involved is all well and good, but can’t get the ball to our attackers. Just end up hoofing it up causing turnovers.I just can’t wrap my head around this propensity to switch off. Been like this for years now under every manager, and it’s completely arbitrary no matter how the match is going it can happen at any time. Bar our mental errors Arsenal haven’t got near Onana
