The last thing you would want is a player not 100% sat in a car for at least 4 hours before a big game.

Many teams take coaches to matches, sitting there for 4hrs or more. Plus they do it week in week out.

PL players aren’t any different. Once you’ve warmed up and stretched it isn’t a problem

Usually hotel for London games and vica Versa plus we usually get 1st class train so you can stretch your legs.

If Pogba's out then yeah, Matic will have to play. If he isn't, I think I'd actually prefer a midfield of Paul, Pereira and Fred. Not ideal by any means, but I think the loss in defensive nous would be offset by the increased energy in midfield. It's a big risk obviously, but imo, so is playing Matic. Those three had a decent game against Leicester at the start of the season too.

The hate for Matic here is over the top. Currently he's our only option at DMF and with no Pogba and Scott he has to play. He's past his peak but he still has some quality and experience in such games. Not like we're playing prime Barca midfield anyway. We're probably going to play on counters as usual against Arsenal on their pitch so I can see him doing well.

I haven't seen Matic produce any real quality for some time now, to be honest.

He was okay against Burnley but nothing special, no costly mistakes at least.
