Quite worried about this game, despite them losing on Thursday. Emery's got them playing a lot better imo than the Arsenal we're used to under Wenger. A lot more high energy, but I'm hoping playing in the Europe on Thursday slows them down a little.

Massive , massive game after Tottenham lost .

We are in a position where every win is such an important , pressure all over , lets hope we make it happen , please

After the Spurs result this has almost become a must win.

Chelsea will go to Anfield and visit OT. 3 points will be massive but a draw is not the end of the world.
3 pts to kill the morale for both, that's more a psychological battle rather than anything rational.

Didn't seem that way when we beat them at the Emirates 3-1 not even 2 months ago.
They are going to try something else. Let's see how we adapt to their challenges, cause that's all what it's going to be about tomorrow.

This is going to be nervy. Battle of wits between the two managers. I think we'll win by a margin of 1 goal (1-0 or 2-1) but a draw would be acceptable to me.

but even against Mourinho with most of the squad wanting him gone and on his dying knees as United manager they needed a lucky bounce off De Gea's hands and Rojo to gift them a goal to get a draw

Their away record is pretty woeful. I can see them dropping points away to Wolves and Everton. They need to win their home games if they're to stand any chance of top 4 IMO.

I reckon a draw suits them better than it does us.

Shouldn't it be the other way round? We are the in-form team here, or at least at par on the home form versus away form matchup. Player for player I think we are superior in more positions. We just came off a huge record breaking victory. Arsenal just took a bad hit in their remaining hope of silverware. I would think we should play our own game and let Arsenal be the ones to worry about how to adapt and contain us.

Maybe, but they are still getting a lot of pts at home so we need to be extra focused. If we remain true to United's spirit, it should work out

I fully expect us to follow up our pathetic performance in Rennes with a big one at home to our biggest rivals in the PL era. Certainly the rivalry has been pretty one sided in recent years but home games to United have always been the ones I look forward to the most.

A draw would have been acceptable if we hadn’t missed that last minute pen but now I’m hoping for the win. Time to end your unbeaten run in the league hopefully with a dive and penalty.

I would be very very impressed if arsenal deliver a big fight tomorrow. These are moments that have defined them in the past decade. When the chips are down they have shown over and over again that they just crumble anyway. No shred of fight.

Tired after Europa league and a must win to keep pace on top 4 against a team that embarrasses you at home. If that can’t motivate you...

    No he hasn’t.

Matic would be a big plus for us if he starts. He helps a lot in controlling the game. Would really like to see a Pogba-Matic-Fred trio to see how it fares.

So basically all we need to do is smash them by 6 goals and we go 3rd. Another 8-2? Easy

Tottenham result is a huge lift, so much better to have 2 positions to aim for.

A win here would be huge, but after midweek, and with some injuries still not 100%, a draw would not be a disaster.

I don't think Matic would have travelled if he wasn't going to start, and I don't think Rashford has really been fully fit since the Liverpool game, so I'd go for the below side even though I'm not hugely keen on playing Pogba in the hole, although it could be 4 strung across the middle in a narrow midfield.

I think Martial will be on the bench. Not sure who will start out of Fred, McTominay and Andreas in the three-man midfield with Pogba and Matic though - possibly McTominay.

    Travelling squad

Goalkeepers (3): De Gea, Romero, Grant
Defenders (7): Dalot, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo, Bailly, Young
Midfielders (5): Pogba, McTominay, Fred, Matic, Andreas Pereira
Forwards (5): Greenwood, Rashford, Chong, Martial, Lukaku

Wouldn't Dalot be a risk playing as a RCM in a diamond?

Seems Gomes is third choice behind Chong and Greenwood in the youth options for now, hope he takes it as a positive and changes things,

That was pretty much where he was playing the other night, him and Young in tandem down that flank would work better than McTominay or Pereira in that role IMO.

This is something that is beginning to become more obvious, game by game. He probably isn't impressing in the 11v11 training games. But time is still on his side, so hope to see him get a opportunity soon, because his natural ability is impressive.

Could work well I guess, to quell the threat of Kolasinac going forward and to hopefully expose his defensive frailties..

I felt quite sad for him on Wednesday for some reason, there celebrating with Chong and Greenwood, but clearly having been overtaken by them in the pecking order, though at least we can be sure that if he is anything like good enough he will eventually be given a proper chance for us.
