Feel like United should really just go at them. Arsenal defence is awful. Let rashford Sanchez and martial rip them apart.

I'd love to win the FA Cup with Ole but I worry he might rest too many here, in particular resting Rashford and playing big lumpy. I do see a few changes though, maybe the team below, just got a feeling we are gonna go the wrong route up top.

    Team should be...

    -------------Romero-------------
    Dalot--Bailly--Smalling--Shaw
    --McTominay--Pereira--Fred--
    Mata--------Lukaku--------Sanchez

Subs: Grant, Darmian, Herrera, Pogba, Martial, Rashford, Lingard

Couldn't care less about this game to be honest. Give me 3 points against Burnley and I'd take an FA Cup exit
I'd probably go with this as well but I suspect we'll be in the minority

I would rest martial and start Sanchez in this one. He's had 3 average games now. Lingard's work rate off the ball and movement is very handy specially against arsenal.

Honestly confused why quite a few of you want us to field our 2nd team. We had plenty of rest and our schedule is not too busy. Am I missing something here ?

Craziness. Winning the FA cup would be the dream end to the season for Ole. Better than squeezing out 4th place. Should get the job either way

Tricky one this. Usually rotation for the cups but maybe we'll see a strong lineup for this with rotation against Burnley instead?

I think the league is more important tbh. We've caught some serious ground on Top 4 positions. One more slip up from Chelsea and we're up there.

Dalot for Young, Fred for Herrera, Lukaku for Rashford, Alexis for Martial. 4 changes should be okay.

I believe bailly is available. Arsenal have some quick strikers.

Jones with all his faults is better than the current Bailly. If Smalling is present he should start, otherwise keep the same formula I believe.

Where is that coming from? Bailly has hardly played, I have got zero faith in jones to be honest.

    DDG

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Young

    Matic
    Fred
    Pogba

    Rashford
    Lukaku
    Alexis

Cup game so a few changes for minutes.

    Bailly in
    Jones out

    Shaw in
    Dalot out

Same team just with that two changes.

What happened to Shaw last game? Absent.
He was in the starting line-up, but pulled out in the warm up with an illness. Not sure what kind of illness it is, but he might not make this trip if he isn't back in full training on Tuesday/Wednesday. As it stands I'm expecting him to miss this game, but then pretty much be a constant in the side again all the way up to the PSG game from Burnley onwards.

Jones isn't great but Bailly has been diabolical for a long time whenever he played and his partnership with Lindelof has been awful and exposing the worst in both.

Great game with two teams that aren't too dissimilar.

Jones isn't great but Bailly has been diabolical for a long time whenever he played and his partnership with Lindelof has been awful and exposing the worst in both.

I am willing to give him a clean slate just like every other player under mourinho. But certainly those privileges does not extend to Jones .

Full team for this one and rest those that need to be against Burnley!

We nearly beat them when we were shit! I would drop Jones and play Bailly for this one. Hopefully Shaw will be back. Same midfield and front 3. High press, one touch passing, get the ball to Rashford and Martial. Same tactics as the first half against Spurs. Just need to get a comfortable lead before we settle for the score. I think we need the bench to step up and keep the energy going when players start to flag and need to come off.

Agree but I think Bailly ceiling is higher than Jones. I think there's a player in there but like Lindelof, they are missing playing next to a experienced, dominate, leader type CB.

A good game for Sanchez to come to the Ole party. If he could come in for Lingard and do a job against his old team it may do his own confidence a world of good.

Having to play the same players all the time is really going to bite us in the backside soon. Cant even remember when or how Smalling got injured anymore. It always the same story with dumb and dumber. Never fit for an extended period of time, and once they are out it's for ages.

I am willing to give him a clean slate just like every other player under mourinho. But certainly those privileges does not extend to Jones .

?? You are willing to give every player a clean slate except Jones?

Bailly did his usual bombscare impression in the game he started and Jones has taken his chance when it came.

We have real momentum at the moment, even after riding our luck somewhat in the second half against Spurs. To throw that momentum away by rotating the squad now would be akin to throwing away the momentum Jose had built with all those 4-0 victories at the beginning of last season by parking the bus against Liverpool in our first proper test.

Pick the team that has been performing and go out there and spank Arsenal. Rough them up a bit, expose them on the counter with quick, direct players (Martial, Rashford not Mata, Sanchez) and send a message that United are well and truly back.

I would rest Martial and Rashford, play Lukaku and Sanchez, play Pogba at the tip of a diamond, with Herrera and Fred either side of Matic in the midfield three. Pogba in that role would be able to support the front two. So there would just be three changes from yesterday's team, and with Martial, Rashford and Lingard to come on if required, facing a tired Arsenal defence (provided Lukaku and Sanchez can make runs in behind) and run them ragged in the last 30 minutes. The midfield three will need to follow the player they are marking if they make runs into the box, some of our players tend to follow the ball in and around our our own box, and not the player.

Yeah it's weird. Was the same against Brighton despite us having a week's rest for the game. And now again, despite us having another week's rest, people want us to rest an in form Rashford for a big cup game.

It's crazy. Even more so when you consider we have Burnely at home a few days later.

Because posters in here are obsessed with tiredness. Matic played three times in a month last season and we still had posters calling him tired and in need of a rest.

Probably because he had a knock yesterday and we have an arguably bigger game against Burnley a few days later.

There's a difference between resting him and not playing him because he's injured.

Bailly had Auba in his pocket last time we played them. His pace on the ground is suited to this game as Arsenal isn't going to bombard us with crosses.

There is, but there's also a difference in playing when not 100% and being injured enough to miss a game.

Incidentally I'd start him and leave Martial out. I wouldn't make as many changes as against Reading but would rotate 3/4 to inject a bit of freshness.

I would play the same team as against Spurs, with the only change being Sanchez for Lingard. Sanchez, Tony and Marcus can interchange and it would give Sanchez a good start against his old team.

If he isn't in the starting line up, i wouldn't play him at all and start him against burnley, i'm not sure he could make an impact as a sub when the legs are tired and we're hanging for dear life.

We absolutely need a strong team. Can't be having to deal with their annoying fans if we lost.

Bellerin injured- a big blow from them. Who do they have as a replacement right back?

Can see Lukaku, Bailly and Sanchez starting this one but it'll be tricky balancing between rotation and picking a strong enough team.
