Mustafis injury helped Arsenal weirdly. Gone to a 3 in midfield now we can't get the ball in that area. Hopefully Mourinho can see it too and make a change .

We wanted entertaining football. Well, this is entertaining football. But can the ball please spend less time in our box? This is nerve wracking.

Far too entertaining. Give us a Mourinho bus that works in the second half :). Arsenal playing good though, but our defending have been poor. We should have scored more as well. Arsenal clearly go all out attack not leaving lots of space so we could get more goals if we use it. Hope we got the legs for it.

Every defensive header is a beautiful lay off to an Arsenal player. Crazy half but that through ball needs to be quicker, Lukaku is making the runs but not getting the ball. We also need to push the play further up the pitch and control some fecking space. Two beautiful goals and some really nice attacking play. Defense has been fecking lucky so far and I think we may need another two goals to win this. Cmon lads.

We need to change to a midfield 3 real fecking fast.
Here's an idea: why don't we just go back to how we started and immediately the pressure will be back on them – as it was when we forced them to make 2 big mistakes at the start and scored two goals within the first 10 minutes. It's not rocket science – if we allow them on to us they will eventually score and we will draw or lose.

Unacceptable football after the first 25 min

No more pressing, with 11 players in the box

    Ffs

Part of the credit for that goes to arsenal in the way they poured forward. But yeah we should be clearing the ball much much better.

Herrera always seems to have a blinder against these doesn't he? Fancy him coming in at some point.

This game would be 10x easier for us if we could clear the fecking ball!!!

About 10 times in that half where a clearance travelled about 3 feet straight to an Arsenal player.

If we actually clear the ball properly second half we should be fine.

This has been very similar to the last time we won at Arsenal in 2014.

    Hopefully a good omen?

Bring back LVG, all is forgiven.

My heart can't stand this a moment longer.

Gone in 2 nil ahead, but surely that cant carry on. Arsenal could quite easily have scored 3/4.

Id personally bring off a defender and bring on Herrera.

We need more bodies in midfield, because at the moment, Arsenal players are popping up behind up behind Pogba and Matic.

Other than that, we look pretty threatening going forward.

    Lingard has been superb.

Such a hard game to summarize so far

Can’t fault the desperate defending by them all at times, but also at times, they have brought it on themselves. I think Rojo has looked the worst of the 3

Damn. Some of the complaints... Arsenal are at home and have been brilliant at the Emirates. That front three has ripped through teams recently. Granted we have been lucky, but we played a brilliant 30 minutes and got two goals. Great game of football. Its expected that eventually they would hit us hard but we are holding on and as likely as they are to score, a third for us is on the cards.

Yea spot on. Its actually forced them to attack and they have been dominant on the ball since after our second goal. However, its to be expected and we clearly have a plan to counter and hit them with a 3rd goal. Hopefully that comes in the second half when Martial/Pogba/Lukaku just become a bit more clinical.

My concern is that the midweek match is really going to take a toll on our fitness..

We won’t be able to get hold of the ball if our fullbacks are so far back pulled in. When we win the ball our only option is central pass and they overloading the centre. We need to win the ball and find Valencia or Young wide.

Let's not kid ourselves, it's not been any sort of defensive masterclass. We've been extremely fortunate to not concede so far. We invite far too much pressure and struggle to deal with it. Midfield is overrun and we are not using our outlets properly.

I am sure that jose knows tjat we can't play like this 45 minutes more. We need to change something because they will can't miss that many chances anymore

Because they've changed formation and have 1 more forward on than us. If we go crazy pressing we will leave gaps behind our midfield. Unless we match them up with 3 in midfield we won't be able to do that.

Because they have changed formation since then and gone to a midfield 3. After Mustafi came off for Iwobi you could see us losing all control of midfield.

We won't outlast this game with a 2 man midfield.

My God, the second goal is just brilliant, all of it!

Herrera on and going for a more 4-3-3 might be the way to go. Rojo out and maybe get in Darmian as a left back as well. Need som fresh legs and some tactical changes to stop Arsenal.

    What. A. Game.

To be 0-2 up at half time is beyond my wildest expectations. To come away from the Emirates with 3 points, considering the form Arsenal are in right now, will be nothing short of brilliant.

Holy feck, I'm exhausted and I'm just sitting on the couch.

Brilliant goals but we've been getting battered since then. We need to get a grip on this game. We are dangerous on the rare occasions we can get forward; we just need to keep the ball better.

I get it. We're 2 nil up, away from home and can afford to sit back but i hate when we do it...

Its days like today where we are clearly the better team i wish Jose would let the horses run free
