Who's crying here? You lot are so uptight, I get 7 replies with people going crazy about me taking the piss about Danny scoring against us. Seems like I hit some of you peoples soft spot.
To answer your question I'm fan of both, United and Welbeck. Danny is not the best out there but saying he is average is quite stupid. He has done well in internationals games and with Arsenal.

If you lot had read my post thoroughly before your mouth started foaming I said hopefully United gets points from this fixture. Gosh you "full" members. :wenger:

It is not a mindset really but I think it's loveable. If I was ranting how some player is garbage and the next time we play against his new club and he scored against us and some moron new member points it out I would be pissed. Danny hasn't even scored yet and still you' re pissed already. Thanks man.

AND...if Danny incredibly somehow accidentally manages to score on saturday and doesn't celebrate out of respect for his boyhood club, do you think it's an honorable thing to do or do you scream at him "you're not an United player anymore, celebrate ye c*nt". Huhh?
This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why the 'newbies' section is necessary and was a great call by the mods.

No I just think its frankly ridiculous how some people would want him to score against us just to prove a point to other people on the internet who you don't know... Like who gives a feck, really.

And if he scored against us, I would treat it like any other arsenal player scoring. If he chose to celebrate, I really wouldn't care. He's not a united player anymore, wasn't ever a huge fan of him when he was here, was just "another player" really. Its like the same as when Frazier Campbell scored against us, if welbeck does score. Not really a big deal and he can celebrate how he wants.

    Ok, fair enough.

And why is that? I got lots of replies for trying to be cute here and all replies were by full members acting weird about it. Your newbie comment is more newbie than a, ummm, newbie?

Ok, I had my little fun already, let's stick to the topic.
    Arsenal 1 (Welbeck) - ManUtd 2 (Mata 2)

This is probably the least confident I've been before facing Arsenal, at least over the last decade anyway...

I've no idea who's fit and I've no idea what team I'd pick...

    Maybe something like this...
    de Gea*
    Rafael* Smalling Blackett Shaw*
    Herrera Fellaini
    Januzaj Rooney di Maria*
    van Persie
    *Unsure if fit or not.

I do think losing Blind is a massive blow and fully expect us to struggle without him.

Agree. I think Carrick is not fit enough yet or doesn't have enough match to be ready for a game like this, but hopefully he can do the Blind job ;)

I also don't trust Fellaini there at the back as a DM, and Herrera even though he can do some good tackles he is not a player made for DM. He is a great box 2 box though.

My hope is a Carrick and Herrera 2 man midfield, but I wouldn't be surprise if Fellaini play this game.

Also hoping Shaw can play this. I just don't trust Blackett and James as LB. One of the reason we limit Chelsea and MC to 1 goal was thanks to his great defending on that left side, so hope he can play this game. Also Sanches like to play a lot as a right winger so we need him there on that side.

Finally some good football on the weekends again. This was also the last internation break until March, IIRC.
This is the team I'm expecting to see on Saturday:

    De Gea
    Rafael - Smalling - Blackett - Shaw
Herrera - Fellaini - Di Maria
    Mata
    van Persie - Rooney

Personally, I rather see McNair play instead of Blackett but I think LvG will go with a leftie for that position. However, that team is more than capable of beating Arsenal at Emirates this year. I think Rooney's gonna have a great game and keep on his form from Scotland and I really hope we can see Falcao for atleast 30 minutes.

How to warm-up for this fixture:

    Good times.

I hope McNair plays versus Arsenal instead of Blackett, in my opinion Herrera would be better in Blind's position, Ander has a better technical skill (than Fellaini). I like your formation but I think we will continue playing 4141 against big teams. Even I prefer to play 4312 I think Van Gaals will play like this:

    De Gea
    Rafael - Smalling - McNair - Shaw
    Herrera
Januzaj - Fellaini - Rooney - Di Maria
    RVP
BTW, do you know if Rafael and De Gea will be fit for the game?

No one knows for sure on any of the players that might be carrying knocks or coming back from injury - though I think Rafael will be back. Evans, probably even if he has been training would probably start on the bench, not played since Leicester.

Just a quick question to anyone who wants to answer - does Van Gaal tend to reveal much about injuries on his pre-match presser on Friday? I think everyone will be cocking an ear for that, especially considering about 5 of your players are currently 'doubtful'.

Yeah he's very honest. If he says someone isn't going to play, they're not going to play.

Thanks bud. No doubt he'll have great news about how Carrick/Falcao/Di Maria/De Gea/Jones/Evans are all fit and ready to play. :nervous:

Agreed (even though i am a Newbie & @Cina refuses to promote me :( ). Who in his right frame of mind would want a rival player to score against us in a crucial away game?? :wenger:

Arse play enough games against teams like Burnley, palace, QPR & Sunderland for his Sugar-munch Danny to score. Hell, if he wants to derive pleasure from a Welbeck goal then he is free to score against Chelsea/City or Liverpool.

If all will be fit and we will play with a diamond we shopuld go with Carrick, Herrera and Di Maria in midfield and Mata behind Rooney and RVP.
f we'll go with 4-2-3-1 which we probably will then Carrick and Herrera in midfield with Mata behind Rooney uop front.
UNfortunately I dont see LVG dropping RVP, despite the fact RVP should be dropped probably, and will probably go with ROoney behind RVP.
Just no Rooney as CM cause it would be s such a waste.

Good to be back from the international bollocks!

Big game, a win could put us top four, with a decent chance Swansea and West Ham will drop points.

At least we're top of the injury table, in fact that list makes a decent team. Hopefully LVG will be reducing that at this arvo's presser.

L Shaw Hamstring Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
A Di Maria Ankle/Foot Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
D Blind MCL Knee Ligament Injury no return date
D De Gea Finger Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
    M Carrick Groin/Pelvis Injury 22nd Nov 14
    M Rojo Dislocated Shoulder 8th Dec 14
Rafael Muscular Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
A Young Groin/Pelvis Injury no return date
    P Jones Calf/Shin Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
    R Falcao Calf/Shin Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
    J Evans Ankle/Foot Injury 22nd Nov 14 slight doubt
    J Lingard Knee Injury 29th Nov 14

My team at this stage... pointless predicting really.

    DDG

    Rafael
    Jones
    Evans
    Shaw

    Carrick
    Fellaini
    Herrara
    ADM

    Rooney

I think LVG would persist with Lord Fellaini in the midfield to bully Arsenal players on the pitch. Not sure how it would work out though.

If Carrick is fit were in with a good chance but Blind is going to be a massive blow for us, Fellaini has been one of our better performers though and must play. Wouldn't mind seeing a 4-2-3-1 with Carrick and Fellaini DM and a trio of Herrera, Rooney and ADM behind Van Persie. The back four is hardly worth guessing at really but Rafa and Shaw really are needed against their wide pace.
We do still have quite a combative selection in midfield despite the possible ommisions with Fellaini, Herrera and the poossibilty of Rooney (who I would stick on Wilshere) so I am expecting us to get a result here.
Just have a feeling that VG is going to deliver us some good news on Friday but come what may, this is Arsenal.

Fellaini is a good shout although UI havent mentioned him. I just hope he wont play at the expense of Herrera cause Herrera really should start finally.

I share the same sentiment as you. Herrera when playing well is a joy to watch, he brings bundles of energy to the midfield.

    Uhh, get over it already.
It's really amusing this reaction. I predicted 1-2 United win and wished Welbeck to score the bitter sweet goal to piss some people off here. That's it.

What's your score prediction for this game then? I double dare you not to put a clean sheet in for us.

I think Valencia and Fellaini might start in the midfield because both Herrera and Carrick, even if fit for the game, haven't played for ages. Especially Carrick might need more match fitness than 10 years younger Herrera to start this one.

Also I think LVG might play this one safe with all the injuries we're suffering. The pre-match press confrence should be interesting.

Point taken, but if i am wishing as a fan i would like my team to keep a clean sheet & spank the rival :D
Hard to predict but i am and optimist & going for a 3-1 win

What is that all about then again. I swear to god the Welbeck fanbois are the strangest of them all.

For the record. I wouldn't care whether it's Danny who scores against us or any other Arse player. I couldn't care less about him. I sure as hell don't want any of the Arse cnuts to score a goal against us though.

I am hoping for something like this. And yes I'd really like to see Rooney as the deep striker, and RvP behind him.

    DDG
Rafael (Valencia) - Jones - Evans (McNair)- Shaw
    Carrick
    Fellaini - Herrera - ADM
    RvP
    Rooney

Would not be surprised though if LvG tries wingers again.

Hmmph, I was just trying to explain how I was taking the piss about Danny scoring against us, not jumping out of the woodwork wishing we conceded a goal. See the difference, yes no?
For the record I predicted us to win 1-2 and it would be funny if Danny scored. Especially after this convo we're having.

    * prays on both knees for a Welbeck goal *
