What did you dream about last night? And what do you think it portends for the final? Please share below and don't skimp on details. Because people love hearing about other people's dreams in great detail. Last night , I dreamed about an old friend walking down a road which I think was out of a film. Think it means we're on the right path. Then again, it's a recurring dream and I've had it on nights when we've lost, won and drawn the game the next day. Not very helpful, I know. Nervous.

I dreamed about the game, which should be indication of how anxious i am. we were getting dominated and i woke up a nervous helpless mess. from what i remember ajax kept getting chance after chance but i think i woke up before anyone scored. for context, i went to sleep at 4:15AM and woke up at 7:42AM. i'm exhausted and my eyes are burning but can't fall back asleep. damned football

If our boys up their games, play out of their skins, fight for every ball, and put in a minimum of 7/10 performances across the pitch, there is no freaking way Ajax will win this. Tonight must not be the night Mikhi is giving the ball away, Martial is dribbling into a crowd of players, Rashford is missing sitters, Pogba is show boating or Smalling is losing concentration. Tonight is the night these boys have to earn their pay, play for the badge, represent the EPL well and hold the victims of the Manchester attack in memory.

Jose may be a moaning, annoying, park-the-bus prick but games like this are what he lives for. Make no mistake about it, he is prepared for this. Ajax will need to play the game of their lives to win tonight.

Nevertheless, football is a crazy sport. Anything can happen. That's why I'm prepared to relax and simply enjoy it. If at all our boys lose, I hope they will do so with their dignity fully intact.

Not sure what all that could mean but I think you are a good person.

Have a feeling it will be a Mou's game.

Ajax will be in control of the ball, they will create chances but we'll solid behind and in one counter-attack after 85 min we'll score one goal. End of the story.

    C'mon guys!!

good dream, I had one too, been chased by bunch of dogs, they had speed of Usain Bolt, while I was as slow as turtle. Somehow I managed to escape (alarm clock), phew. It is recurring dream and I've had it on nights when we've scored one, two or three goals the next day. Not very helpful, I know.

I'm so pumped up for tonight's match that i woke up 2HRS earlier than i usually would. A lot on my mind than there normally would considering recent events. I think Jose summed it up well when he told the players to "do it for Manchester". That's exactly how i feel and i hope the players keep their emotions in check. I honestly think we will win this, mainly due to Jose being a master at finals and knowing how to set a team up for them. For Ajax, i think it's come too soon in their development, but they have some cracking players in their squad. I don't think the game will be dull. I think we are in for an exciting final. Let's do this!

The team is practically picked and im sure everyone knows who will be playing. Hoping we just control the game and slow it down as much as we can. Going toe to toe attacking with a bunch of energetic kids (with great talent) isn't going to end well. Hoping for a win, cant see this being a 1-0 or 1-1. Think there will be a fair few goals

The build up is far less stressful than it was for our CL finals back in the day. Think we'll win fairly comfortably as long as Jose gets the line-up right and doesn't park the bus too deep.

This is the most tense I've been since 2008 and in no way will this game be enjoyable. If we win I'll have to watch it again.

According to a few posters on here, who clearly watches Ajax a lot, we are left with little chances if Ajax turns up :wenger:. I've never seen them so I wouldn't know.....

    The pressure is on!

One thing that will be in our favour is the physical prowess. The likes of Pogba and Valencia will outmuscle the Ajax players. That's somehing good in a tight and nervous game. Then, the experience of playing big games must also be in our favour. We have players that have played world cup finals, CL-finals, EL-finals and a lot of big games in the PL. If you compare that to a lot of anxiuos 20-year olds, that must be pivotal part.

Anyhow, then we have Mourinho! The man eat, breath and lives for games likes this.

I can't stop compare the game to this clip from the movie "300" where United are the spartans and Mourinho takes the roll of King Leonidas.

Tonight we win - Aooh aooh!

The city could do with a win here. Obviously footballs at the back of most peoples minds, but a win here is something as a city we can come together and celebrate.

    :lol::D Brilliant

Is it most likely going to be a very scrappy game as most of our games have been this season. If we fall behind, i will be very worried. However, if we get the first goal then i can see us scrapping through after many nervous scares and the opposition missing many easy chances. As many of our European games have been this season. I cant see it being different for the final. Hopefully, it will be enough

Maybe they scored after you woke up? Did you not think about that?!

I just read Ajax will be wearing their new home shirt tonight. Will United be wearing blue? White? or the new black shirt? Anyone know?

    Don't listen to them.

If Ajax win it will be a huge upset.

still struggling to get any excitement for the game after the bombing, but I am sure has the day goes on it will come.
Yea really weird atmosphere around the build up to this game. Apparently the build up ceremony has been cut short out of respect.

This is why there is so much pressure on us. I mean, being a final both teams are under pressure. Ajax are young and in a European final, they will be feeling pressure. But the pressure on us is incomparable and part of the reason for that is we need to win tonight to make everything that has come before it worthwhile. If not its been another season that started off hopefully enough, but descended to increasing depths of tedium, with absolutely no payoff at all. A season that its hard to argue improves on either of LVG's seasons.

So yes, I agree. These are the games he lives for and if he delivers it has all been worth it.

Pressure will be fecking high we need men real 11 men to control their nerve and seize the opportunity and realize it might be their most important game for the club so far hope we keep our shit.

Dreamt about the game and us winning 2-1 as well. It's just because I can't remove this game from my head since yesterday tonight.

I don't think a game has taken control of my mind and made me nervous as this since CL final in 2008. I wasn't even that nervous in 2009 and 2011.

It'll be a heavy shock for me if we don't win. Think I'll take a break from the Caf for a while if anything except win happens as it's going to be a massive tragedy.

Just win and everyone will be happy for 3 months till next season starts

I'm actually not that nervous about this one yet, more excited to see a full strength side.

Always thought Mourinho would go for the more cautious 4-3-3, like Celta away, which would go toe-to-toe to Ajax's. But he could also go for a classic 4-4-2, with Mata and Mkhitaryan on the wings, leaving Lingard to play behind Rashford, and losing the extra central-midfield men (Fellaini, which might even not be fit enough).

I know Football might not seem as important now as it did a few days ago but best of luck to the team and management tonight , we have to be professional and get the job done, our season depends on this one game.

All I know is Mourinho really shows his strength in these big matches, a master tactician, he hasn't won the trophys he has won by luck, he has studied every aspect of Ajax and how they play and will know how to win, the only thing is will our player's go out there and perform the way they need to,

I think that's why Lingard may start ahead of Martial for example, because you know Lingard will give 10x more than Martial regardless of the quality difference, I also have a sneaky feeling we may just see Rooney start tonight as one last special performance before the curtain call on his amazing career as a Man United player,

Regardless of how he has performed recently he has the experience and tenacity to potentially really benefit us tonight or fall flat on his face and frustrate the life of you but I think tonight is special and whatever you think Rooney is a special player (if he want's to be)

Team I'd like to see is

    -------------------Romero-----------------
    ----Valencia---Jones---Blind-------Darmian---
    --------------------Carrick---------------------
    ----------Herrera-----------Pogba----------------
    ----Lingard-------Rashford-----------Rooney---

Have Fellaini,Martial,Mkhi and Mata to bring on incase it isn't going to plan

Just hope Mourinho approaches this as he did with Inter against Van Gaal's Bayern, which didn't stand a chance.
