Crystal Palace Football Club (nicknamed CPFC, The Glaziers and The Eagles) are a professional football club based in South Norwood, London. Crystal Palace were founded in 1905 at the site of the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium, who wanted their own team to play at the historic venue. When Crystal Palace were founded, they turned to one of the biggest clubs in the country at the time, Aston Villa, to seek advice. Villa helped the club in a number of ways, not least by donating their kit. As a result, Palace's colors were originally claret and blue shirts paired with white shorts, socks tending to be claret. They kept to this formula fairly consistently until 1938.

The club initially played their home games at the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside the grounds of The Crystal Palace, but the First World War saw them forced to move out, and they enjoyed a number of seasons at both the Herne Hill Velodrome and The Nest. Although Crystal Palace have never won a major trophy, they have played in the First Division for the majority of their existence, finishing 3rd once, and losing the 1990 FA Cup Final to Manchester United. Crystal Palace play their homes games at Selhurst Park, and share sporting rivalries with South London neighbors Millwall, former tenants Charlton, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

An opportunity to win back to back Premier League games for the first time this season. Though worth taking into account in United's last three games v Palace it was two defeats,a draw and no goal scored.

Haha the absolute state of United this season

Another shockingly shit home performance? We’ve been embarrassing at OT for a while, unable to play assertive, commanding football and get 3 pts in the same game. Not expecting to change that on Sunday but a win would certainly see us creeping another step toward European contention.

Lot more relaxed about this game, compared to securing top 8 placing in EL tonight, and next weeks FA Cup knockout game v Leicester.

Hopefully we can keep up the winning run and get some consistency going. But if we are going to put in a poor performance, I'd prefer it to be in this mid table clash than next weeks FA Cup game.

Don't have much of a preference for team selection on this one - as I know we'll go strong for a league game. Just hope we go just as strong v Leicester the following week!

Probably going to sound negative as we've won last couple of games but this game feels similar to Brighton in that I'd expect us to lose it. Brighton are better team than Palace but we've been struggling vs Palace so much for years now. They got promoted in 2013 and our record was actually great before 19/20 season (10 wins and 2 draws). Since then it's 3 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats. 2 wins and 3 defeats in last 5 clashes at Old Trafford.

    GK: Onana
    CBs: Mazraoui-Maguire-Martinez
    Midfield: Amad-Ugarte-Bruno-Dalot
    Number 10s: Mainoo-Garnacho
    Striker: Zirkzee

Maguire and Ugarte seem like obvious starters after getting some rest tonight. Garnacho had a good cameo so you'd expect him to start in this one (unless he's actually leaving than probably won't be even part of the squad). Zirkzee starting this one instead of Hojlund.

But I can see Amorim starting de Ligt/Yoro at RCB and Mazraoui at RWB. Don't think it would look good like it didn't vs Brighton or Southampton but we'll see.

    Onana
    Amad
    Dalot
    De Ligt
    Maguire
    Martinez
    Ugarte
    Bruno
    Mainoo
    Eriksen
    Zirkzee

    Honestly, I'd like quite like to see us going all out attack mode and try this;

    ------------------ Onana
    ---- De Ligt - Maguire - Martinez
    Amad - Ugarte - Collyer - Garnacho
    ----------- Mainoo - Bruno
    ----------------- Hojlund

I'd still persist with Hojlund tbh, he's the better profile of striker IF our system works correctly and how it should. Zirkzee has been the better player the past few weeks though at ease. Keep Mainoo in the 10 and let's see Amad/Garnacho as wing backs.

Finally feels like some confidence is coming back in our team. Everywhere apart from the CF position at least. Need to keep building on that and get some real momentum.

    Onana
    Mazraoui De Ligt Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Bruno Dalot
    Mainoo Garnacho
    Zirkzee

Currently our best 11 I'd say, hope we see it. Can rotate some against Leicester.

Only big worry is recovery here.
Feels like we are building up some momentum here, slowly.
If we can improve our finishing a touch i think we can spank them.

It's a game you'd expect us to struggle in. If we manage to beat those, it would solidify our upswing in form

Hoping for a 2-1 win here based on our last three results. Probably going to be a turgid draw. Crystal Palace are a bogey team of ours, although not as much as Brighton are.

    I hope it's this

    Onana
    De ligt Maguire Martinez
    Amad Ugarte Bruno Dalot
    Mainoo Garnacho
    Hojlund
I hope we go for this, we have looked anaemic against decent defensive teams with Maz at wing back

This game will be very interesting to see what Amorim decides to do tactically as Glasner's setup seems very similar. Am hopeful he rolls the dice a bit and we see a more attacking line up.

Really hope the line-up is closer to what we ended with last night.

    Onana
    Maz - De Ligt/Megs - Licha
    Amad - Ugarte - Bruno - Dalot
    Mainoo - Garna
    Zirkzee
Need to get some momentum going. Haven't had the best recent history against this lot but I hope that changes.

Urgh, I hate games at OT. Not sure about this one, just he sort of game we're expected to lose.

Can write finally get back to back premier league wins? FCSB were not very good but there did seem to be a lot better play in 2nd half yesterday with a lot of purpose. Really hope we can keep that going.

Urgh, I hate games at OT. Not sure about this one, just he sort of game we're expected to lose.

The main issue is those who come to OT are using the width of the pitch to their advantage, the way we used to. Needs to set us up different at home.

No more Zaha, Olise. We should be winning this lot.

    —————-——Onana——————-

    —-mazroui—de light—-Martinez—

    —amad—ugarte—Bruno—-Shaw—

    —————mainoo—Eriksen————

Our mentality at OT is questionable and this lot are in reasonably good form, tough game.

Looks like Eze is a no-go so United shouldn't have much fear of this match from a defensive point of view - half of Palace's good moves involve him.

If United lose, they'll beat themselves by not taking their chances I think. I don't think they will though, I'd go for a comfortable 3-0 win if I were a getting man.

    You go get those men.;)

Hope we put in a good show. I think perhaps a 3-0 is in order.

I hate playing these, we're absolutely bobbins against them at home in recent times. The games where we have to be on the front foot - generally the home ones - are the games where we get picked off on the break by long balls. This game is an accident waiting to happen.

There's a lot riding on it. If we win, we've got some serious momentum for the first time. Four wins in a row, signs of promise and Leicester up next. Lose and it's right back to square one, with us marooned in the bottom half of the table. We have to win. Doesn't matter how. Just get the result.

Palace away in the Premier League this season. Lost just three of their 11 games and it's October since they lost on the road.

    2-1 defeat v Brentford
    1-1 v Chelsea
    2-1 defeat v Everton
    1-0 defeat v Forest
    2-2 v Wolves
    2-2 v Villa
    0-1 win v Ipswich
    1-3 win v Brighton
    0-0 v Bornemouth
    0-2 win v Leicester
    0-2 win v West ham

    Easy:

    9-6

    Bayindir
Yoro - De Ligt - Martinez
    Dalot - Ugarte - Bruno - Maz
    Amad - Garnacho - Mainoo

Feels like we are gearing up. Garnacho and Mainoo has had meh seasons so far but seems to be finding some form now. Martinez has been better lately.
    Ugarte was rested midweek.
Amad and Bruno are Amad and Bruno
    Eriksen is looking sharp lately.
I am looking forward to this game

Damn auto-cornflakes strikes again, not sure how it swapped betting to getting, but then it's a Google phone not a Booble so maybe that's it.

I'd like United to start winning games, it'll make the PL run in more interesting if the likes of Newcastle/Chelsea/Forest know there's another team breathing down their neck. The bottom 3 are pretty much going to end up as the bottom 3 I'd imagine and the title is between Arsenal and Liverpool unless they both capitulate, that only leaves the race for CL spots that's of any real interest to a neutral.

Anyone putting Eriksen in their lineup after he played 72'+ minutes on Thursday is having a laugh. This is the EPL on Sunday. He hasn't the legs for it.
