Liverpool FC nicknamed The Reds are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England; and were originally founded in 1892 as Everton Football Club and Athletic Grounds Company plc, before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road. One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 18 English league titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his 'Boot Room' successors. Although Liverpool's fortunes as a domestic and European force have dwindled in the past 25 seasons, they still have a massive global support-base; and share two fierce historic rivalries - with crosstown rivals Everton FC (The Merseyside Derby); and Manchester United (who ironically rose back into consistent title-winning prominence as Liverpool declined).

Smalling struggles against Benteke..he will have Blind for breakfast..that is if Rodgers actually thinks of that..knowing him though, you never know..

I dont think we are a good side, but I dont think Pool are good themselves, this is a big game in the race for 4th

Form goes out of the window for this one

It's a good thing for both sides.

Coincidentally we are in the same form

battle between two teams who can barely score goals.
    should erm...be a classic

Going to be a boring, scrappy game. Gonna go for 1-0 to United.

Them losing Coutinho is a big plus for us. Though Montero being injured was supposed to be a big plus for us too!

Liverpool will roll over is. Benteke with a hat trick.
You seriously just need to shut the feck up and have a word with yourself after the shite you've spewed in the match thread and now this. You realize they got hammered 3-0 at home to West ham yesterday? fecks sake.

    --------------De Gea-----------
    ---Darmian--Smalling--Blind--Shaw
    ------------Schmidfield----------
    ---Mata------Herrera------Memphis
    --------------Fellaini-------------

    Meh, who am I kidding.

    De Gea/Cillessen
    Darmian Smalling Blind Shaw
    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger/Carrick
    Mata Herrera Memphis
    Rooney

This will be like watching a very aggressive and very dirty Championship game. High tempo and exciting but don't expect to see any great football.

Both in bad state and with similar problems. No idea how it will go. Maybe international break is good thing right now... provided our players don't come back injured :nervous:

Have a bit of faith and support your team maybe. Saying shit like Liverpool will smash us. We may not be great going forward but are a solid team. Its like you're completely ignoring that Liverpool got hammered at home against west ham 3-0 yesterday. While we narrowly lost away to Swansea who regularly gets good results against the top 4 teams.

We suck if you can't see that too fecking bad

Drop points against scousers and I can see Woody start considering alternatives to LvG...

    It'll be a shit off.

Both sides competing to see who can be the least shit on the day.

We'll lose 0-1 and this place will melt like butter in a microwave.

    Can't wait.

Although he went a bit overboard, remember that United were solid crap in front today. No fluency, no game plan, Rooney shitting bricks. You also know that past results do not matter when it comes to United Liverpool. Liverpool will be up for it.

The issue is that Liverpool have a striker who can cause problems for our defense. Rooney on the other hand won't offer anything. We look very very toothless.

Frankly although it sad, i feel Liverpool might kick start their season after winning against United. I really hope i am wrong and United kick start their season but it is looking like LVG's philosophy is also making United impotent in front of goal. Going to be a long season.

They lost to west ham at home we drew to an even worse Newcastle at home. But hey let's pretend everything is awesome!

Not worried about this one. Their game yesterday has probably set the rot in. We have more in our tank than them and our defeat was more a lesson to be learned rather than an absolute bollocking at home.

The idea of Blind versus Benteke terrifies me, but knowing LVG, we will win this one. It's the small teams that take points off us - all we need is a few quick French players with stupid haircuts and we will complete our transformation into Arsenal.

Yeah a lesson that we keep getting taught going on 3 seasons now
No I don't see it like that, this was a tough away game where we were cruising, a misplaced pass turned the psychology and result on its head. My biggest disappointment with today was mental strength. That is the main thing we miss these days.

is that "One goal" Benteke we're talking about? in "Two goals in four games" Liverpool's lineup?
With the Benteke goal being a tap in that shouldn't have counted?

How many have United scored? Liverpool have a striker and United right now have one who can't even get his first touch right. If not him, we have felliani for whom we just lump the balls and hope for the best. Our striking department is the worst in the league right now.

There is no point in just defending well and keeping possession if we have aspirations to win the league.
