Watford Football Club (nicknamed The Hornets, The Golden Boys, Yellow Army, and The 'Orns), are a professional football club based in Watford, Hertfordshire. Watford Rovers was formed in 1881 by Henry Groverand, who went on to play for the club as a fullback. Rovers, originally composed entirely of amateur players, held home games at several locations in the town of Watford. The team first competed in the FA Cup in the 1886-87 season, and in 1889 Watford won the County Cup for the first time. Renamed as West Hertfordshire in 1893, Rovers joined the Southern Football League in 1896, and started to pay professional footballers in 1897. West Hertfordshire merged with local rivals Watford St. Mary's in 1898; the merged team was named Watford Football Club.

After spending almost half century in the lower divisions of The Football League, Watford enjoyed its greatest era of success following Graham Taylor's appointment in 1977, rising from the Fourth Division to the First Division. The team also finished second in the First Division in the 1982/83 season, competed in the UEFA Cup in 1983/ 1984, and reached the 1984 FA Cup Final where they faced Howard Kendall's Everton. Watford's most prominent rivalry is with fellow South-Eastern English club Luton Town, and they have been playing their home games at Vicarage Road since 1922.

Deeney will bully Lindelof like a rag doll. Bailly will start. Was very good against Chelsea.

    Let’s stop the back 3.

    De Gea
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    Matic - Fred
    Mata - Bruno - James
    Martial

    Matic Fred
    Greenwood Bruno James
    Martial
McTominay on for Matic, Ighalo for one of the front 3. Hopefully we'll get a good performance, but I'm confident as long as we start Greenwood in attack with Martial. Need that added goalthreat (and finally nice to have a good midfield).

    ---------------De Gea--------------
    AWB--Bailly---Maguire-Shaw
    -----------Matic---Fred-------------
    James------Bruno------Martial
    ----------------Ighalo------------------

Wouldn't mind this. Ighalo should start against his old club, and at home we can afford to have Martial joining up with him off the left.

Id be tempted to start both Ighalo and Martial. We need more of a threat up front.

Back 4 not 5 please. We need to show some ambition against these low level teams. With Bruno playing i thing we can unpick them if they sit deep

    ---------------De Gea--------------

That could be exactly it. Maybe McTominay for Matic.

That could be exactly it. Maybe McTominay for Matic.
Ah yeah, forgot about him. If he's fit enough to start then yeah I'd swap them. 2 games in 3 days for Matic isn't ideal.

That could be exactly it. Maybe McTominay for Matic.
This is possible with Scott in for Matic (unless Scott is not ready and just make the bench), and Greenwood as another attacking option then.

I'd settle for that all day long, but I have a feeling Ole will continue with the 352 for the remainder of the season.

Mctominay should be fit for this one too, and he may very well get the nod seeing as Matic played the full 90 tonight.

Looking forward to seeing a combination of Fred, Mctom, and Bruno running riot in our midfield at some point.

This will be a tough game. If we win we will probably just nick it 1-0 or 2-1.

Hope Scott, Greenwood and Bailly are back for this one.

I think we'll win but I think they might get a goal. It could depend on who scores first and will be a tough game if they do.

    Let’s stop the back 3.

    De Gea
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    Matic - Fred
    Mata - Bruno - James
    Martial

I'd go with that, apart from Greenwood in for Mata. With James in such dire form we need more game changers in there alongside Martial, something which Mata generally isn't these days.

    If Greenwood is fit:

    deGea
    Bailly Maguire Shaw
    AWB Matic Fred Williams
    Bruno
    Greenwood Martial

Will Scott make the bench for this one? I think he has been training for a week now with the team and has been doing some fitness work for 2 weeks now I think

I would hope we're overly cautious with Mctominay and he doesn't come back until he's absolutely 100%.

We've brought back guys too early or risked players playing with injuries and knocks and it's backfired too often this season and we can't afford to do it again.

After the win at Chelsea these are the kind of games we usually mess up straight after a good result.

Desperately need to get some kind of run going , winning this one is vital.

Really hope Bruno is the one to unlock these type of teams when they sit back inviting us on, up to now we just look clueless and devoid of creativity in the type of game this is likely to be.

This will be a tough game but I think we'll scrape a win to be fair.

Ighalo starting on his old Trafford debut against his former team, would be written in the stars for him to score

We beat Chelsea and on Saturday it's Chelsea v Spurs where there's literally no bad result for us.

In light of that, it is absolutely guaranteed that we'll draw or lose here. 0-0 or 1-2 would be my predictions.

Considering our available wingers are James, Lingard, Pereira and Mata... and considering our possible wingbacks in a 3-5-2 are AWB, Williams and Dalot... I sincerely hope we try 4-4-2 diamond this time

    -------------------------------------Matic-----------------------------------------
    ------------------------Fred-----------------McTominay--------------------
    -----------------------------------Fernandes-----------------------------------
    --------------------------Ighalo---------------Martial-------------------------

Can swap Ighalo for Greenwood if the latter is more ready to start the game.

That would be utilising our best available players, even if he formation is slightly unfamiliar. Saves us from playing the dross in our squad that make our eyes hurt

I was at the Vicarage road game earlier on in the season. It was the game Pogba returned. We were god damn awful during that game. Anything like that again and we will lose. Although, Delefou turned into prime Messi on the day.

    -------------------------------------Matic-----------------------------------------
    ------------------------Fred-----------------McTominay--------------------
    -----------------------------------Fernandes-----------------------------------
    --------------------------Ighalo---------------Martial-------------------------

    I like this.

No way McTominay will start this. I'd like Mata seeing we probably will dominate possession.

Think Mata and Fernandes could link up very well, think they have a similar mindset.

Would like Bailly to start , but I am 99% sure Lindelof will get back in because OGS rate him so much.

Even with James playing poorly we need his pace and he has some rest now.

But will hope for something like this:

    DDG
    AWB Bailly Maguire Shaw
    Matic Fred
    Fernandes
    Mata Martial James

Come on United. Best team and go for a win.
Hoping that James and Greenwood could get a chance.

Spurs playing Chelsea so at least one top 4 rival dropping points. Big win against one of the big boys last match.

    0-0.
