    Same team the finished today

    Ddg
    Valencia smalling rojo Shaw
    Herrera Blind
    Di Maria Afro young
    Rooney

Falcao to start, Rooney back in midfield, Herrera on the bench and Young at left wing back.

Same formation as the 2nd half against Preston please. Maybe with Mata instead of Fellaini.

Edit: actually it's an away game, start Fellaini

Falcao to start, Rooney back in midfield, Herrera on the bench and Young at left wing back.

This. I'm not even going to pretend Van Gaal will surprise us in a good way with his team selection

No doubt it will be weird as feck like:

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Jones Rojo Young
    Blind Rooney Di Maria
    Falcao van Persie

    It should be:

    De Gea
    Valencia Rojo Smalling Shaw
    Blind Herrera Di Maria
    Mata
    Rooney van Persie

    2-1 win for us.

Would like to see the VP-Rooney combo have a go now, but Falcao shouldn't start for a while, he's pretty ineffective.

    Failing that, Fellaini-Rooney.

Absolute must win game for us, looking at our fixtures until the end of season we need to pick up as many points as possible in the next 3 games because after that we're going to have some tough time.

    4-4-1-1 please.
    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Di Maria Herrera Blind Young
    Rooney
    Van Persie
Though it might be Fellaini up top with Rooney which would also be fine IMO. 10 of the 11 should be all those apart from RvP though, him and Fellaini is the only debatable thing. Would be a very good win for our confidence, winning away to a traditionally tough ground. We won't win if we try and play a diamond or 3-5-2 or focus so much on possession. We need to play with our strengths and the way United have always played.

Today's game hopefully showed Van Gaal a few things:

    • Drop Falcao
    • Play Rooney up front
    • Play Herrera
I say we should just play the players who are in form. It's the way to go.

    De Gea

    McNair Smalling Rojo Shaw

    Blind Herrera

    Di Maria Fellaini Young

    Rooney

I don't think all 3 will happen unfortunately, but at least one of those 3 points will be promising!

    Tough game.
    de Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    di Maria Herrera Blind Young
    Fellaini
    Rooney
Think that team can win there. A draw wouldn't be the end of the world.

An unconvincing 2-1 win. The stutternaut rumbles on.

They haven't been playing well. No doubt they'll be up for it when playing us. But, we better get our balls out as soon as we start and hammer them. Need all three points.

    4-2-3-1

    De Gea
    Valencia - Rojo - Smalling - Shaw
    Blind - Herrera
Di Maria - Mata - Januzaj
    Rooney
Creativity from Januzaj, Mata and Herrera. Di Maria on the left floating around and driving at them with the ball. Blind anchoring. Shaw and Valencia defensively strong and can carry the ball forwards and offer speed on the wings to get in behind. Rooney the focal point.

Swansea aren't a team to get at you. They like to build the play from the back so lets just match them in style and outplay them. There will be openings.

This is absolutely the line up we should start with although Van Gaal might not want to drop Van Persie if he is fit and instead play him up front with Fellaini with Rooney back in midfield

Swansea game is massive. If we can sneak a win then it could really go a long way to top 4 hopes

    4-2-3-1

    De Gea
    Valencia - Rojo - Smalling - Shaw
    Blind - Herrera
Di Maria - Mata - Januzaj
    Rooney
I'd have to disagree. Januzaj has proved he is not ready and Young is Miles better right now.Especially in a tough away game I would not play him. I definitely wouldn't play Mata in such a tough important away game too

Almost a guarantee Herrera is dropped with RvP replacing him and Rooney into midfield.

I guess we need wingers or wing-backs to cope with Montero and Dyer/Routledge even though i haven't watched much of Swansea this season.

    4-4-2:

    ---------------DeGea----------
    Valencia-Smalling-Rojo-Shaw
    DiMaria-Herrera-Blind-Januzaj
    --------Rooney-Fellaini---------

Would like Rafael instead of Valencia, but that isn't going to happen and tbf Valencia has been solid this season.

I think this is what we will be going for.

RvP will be back as LvG said it was only a minor knock and I am pretty sure LvG will want to incorporate him into the starting XI asap.

Somehow I guess Fellaini deserves to play but I can't see Blind, Di Maria or Young (with his impact as a sub) being put on the bench. Perhaps Herrera but I certainly do not hope so.

We should win this game, and I hope things will start to make sense in the final third, we certainly need it ahead of our fixtures in March.

On the down side, I feel like we will get an injury to a key player out of this game :nervous:

Give me a good ol' 442.

    Dave
    Tony - Chris - Marcos - Luke
    Ander - Daley - Angel - Ashley
    Wayne - Robin

    ----------------de gea----------
    Valencia---smalling---rojo--shaw
    ------------blind---Herrera-------
    ----mata----Rooney---di Maria--
    --------------van persie----------

Still will probably end up suffering through a mind numbing first half where we dominate the ball but do nothing with it before conceding in a stupid manner after half time that finally gives us a kick up the arse.

    2-1 to us.

Alot less concerned because this is at 3pm on a Saturday, if it was on the sunday I would be worried

    De Gea
    Valencia--Smalling--Rojo--Shaw
    Herrera--Blind
    Di Maria--Rooney--Young
    van Persie

subs: Valdes, Evans, McNair, Fellaini, Januzaj, Mata, Wilson

I think Fellaini will start though. Probably in for Herrera or van Persie. Not bothered if it's Young or Januzaj starting but I would start with two wingers. Stretch the game a bit.

A win, any win, I don't care how we get it done, just get it done.

RvP will play. Fellaini will play. Rooney in midfield. Herrera to be dropped, i fear. Hope i'm wrong.

    ------------------ De Gea ----------------
    Valencia - Smalling ---- Rojo ---- Shaw
Di Maria -- Rooney ---- Blind ---- Young
    --------------------- Fellaini -------------
    ----------------- RvP ---------------------

When is Carrick back? Blind doesn't read the game like Carrick does and is more reactive.Passing also not as good as Carrick's. I hope we have Carrick back for the tough run of fixtures coming up.

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Carrick/Blind Herrera
    Di Maria Rooney Young/Januzaj
    Van Persie
    We'll win this 3-0.

I predict only two shots on target. If neither are goals, we'll lose.
