The Trump Presidency : Part 2

If you were Putin and were in charge of Trump, what would you have done differently?
Not allowed the Trump administration to sell javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine in 2017 and 2019, which were later used successfully to stop Russia’s march on Kiev.

Other than that, not a lot.

Huge protests around the country today and not a peep on traditional media.
How huge? What are the numbers? "250000 expected countrywide" as I read, which is not particularly huge at all, to be frank. Protests against xenophopia and the AfD in Berlin alone are routinely bigger than that.

Anyway in Germany the US protests are the main report on top of both Spiegel's website right now as well as that of Tagesschau (state TV's main news page)

ABC are covering it but not a peep on Fox, CNN, NBC and MSNBC...

Edit... To add to that, looking at social media there are some very big protests around the country. Some of the pictures show massive crowds, of course all those out in protest are paid for by George Soros.

It's so fecking sad that the right won't accept anything. It's fake news, paid actors or false flags for mass shootings, fake crowds or paid actors funded by Soros, stolen elections etc...

How could you live being that fecking dumb? I accept the other side won and accept they have a voice, I don't agree with them 99% of the time but accept it. These MAGA clowns just can't accept anything that goes against what they believe or are fed, it's pure insanity and ignorance.

Who appoints the Fed Chair, where do they get their powers from and who can remove them?
The Federal Reserve was created in 1913 by Congress, and Congress can dismantle it. The Federal Reserve operates according to the Dual Mandate: price stability and employment stability. It should be noted that that it was initially created to ensure Financial Stability.

The body that make decisions about monetary policy is the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which consists of 7 governors (the Board of Governors, which sits in Washington DC), the President of the New York Fed and 4 more Presidents of other regional Federal Reserve Banks. A total of 12 members.

The President can appoint the 7 governors, and they should be confirmed by the Senate. They are appointed for one non-renewable term of 14 years. The Chairman, though, is appointed every 4 years.

The term of Powell will expire in February 2026. Trump has the power to replace him in 10 months. But, I’m not sure that he wants a third term anyway given that he would then need to deal with Trump for three more years!

He's lost Shapiro (on the tariffs, probably not anything else). Full video within the link.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/maga-star-ben-shapiro-turns-on-trump-over-his-crazy-tariffs-plan/

Most people, irrespective of party, are probably unhappy because their 401ks and stocks have plummeted by at least 10%, probably much more in some cases. That’s enough to push even some maga allies over the edge. Even Ted Cruz, who has been a obedient sycophant for years is openly complaining.

Apparently the Treasury Secretary wants to resign as his reputation is being tarnished due to his association with Trump and the tarrifs. He's not close to Trump and is considered an outsider who isn't involved in any cabinet or private meetings with Trump and just gets told of plans after the decisions have been made.

Also Musk has stepped out of line..... Trump won't like this at all.

Not particularly surprising that Bessant may be looking for a way out given that his name will be among the most tarnished by Trump's tariff stunt.

Its sad you have to think this way but I don't trust some of these people publicly calling out their disagreement with Trump. Trump has another 3+ years to just about whatever the feck he wants and people will forget about this as quick as it came about with these fecknuts creating distraction after distraction. Who knows what devious shit they've already accomplished in these last few days. For all we know this all a long game.

I wish I didn't have to think like a conspiracy theorist but it's hard not to with this administration. I can only hope it's really all as dumb as the narrative it's creating.

Apparently there were 20,000 in Atlanta, Georgia and there is a video of one in Milwaukee and it looks absolutely packed too. In total there were over 1,000 rallies held across the US yesterday as well as countless more throughout Europe.

Some great signs at some of the rallies too.

But my favourite is.....

Well there you have it. According to dear leader Kim Don ill everything is going swimmingly and everything is better.

wasn't reported much in general news, as global inflation began to get attention, Turkey cut interest rates as inflation boomed. Turkey went from 21% inflation NOV/2021 to 85% OCT/2022. During the same period they halved their interest rates.

Currently, Turkey is 39% inflation with 42% interest rates.

This guy wants to burn the whole fecking global down and he has cultish lunatics bowing to the great leader with every random thought.

I would like to see a full investigation that goes right back to before he was elected, in to the stock market and trading activity of Trump's friends and family and all politicians on both sides, but especially Republicans.

There's no way they are not all profiting off his policies in a monumental way. At the very least Trump and his family, and the Republicans in his cabinet absolutely are.

NBC, MSNBC and CNN all covering it prominently, certainly now at least. Dunno if they ignored it earlier on.

Crypto people in his orbit, the genuine authoritarian/fascists in his orbit, all have incentives, ideological or economic, to see the economy suffer. If.....he leaves office at the end his term, there has got to be investigations top to bottom. He'll probably pardon everyone and himself....if he leaves....but investigations of the periphery are required.

Yeah, when I looked they weren't covering it at all. I think they left it till later in the day when the crowds were at their largest.

Still absolutely nothing on Fox News, their Their Twitter page or on their website. It's utterly insane although unsurprising how they can ignore it completely.

 He deserves to be, It's a great sign, but the Dems need to start coming up with something better than just great signs. They also need to replicate the same energy seen today in all the protests when it comes to the election and voting day.

Tbh it seems to the usual mishmash of centre/progressive views. I guess it’s nice some people care but so far in the 21st century protests (Regardless of ideology)tend to be pretty useless.

Not that Norfolk! Mislabelled shipments led to Trump tariffs on uninhabited islands and remote outposts with no US trade

Trade tariffs imposed on tiny Australian territories that are either uninhabited or claim to have no trading relationship with the US appear to have been calculated based on erroneous trade data.

The data relates, at least in part, to shipments mislabelled as coming from remote Norfolk Island, or Heard Island and McDonald Islands, instead of their correct countries of origin, the Guardian can reveal.

Among the erroneously labelled shipments over the past five years from the island territories are shipments of aquarium systems, Timberland boots, wine and parts for a recycling plant.

n some cases involving Norfolk Island, which is 1,600km north-east of Sydney and has a population of 2,188, the confusion appears to have resulted from the fact that the company’s address or port of departure is Norfolk, UK, or the destination is Norfolk, Virginia in the US, or a company’s registered address in New Hampshire (NH) has been listed instead as Norfolk Island (NI).

Norfolk Island was this week hit with a 29% tariff on its goods – 19 percentage points higher than the rest of Australia – despite claiming to have no export relationship with the US.

Once again, anyone trying to rationalise this shit is only helping to normalise insanity.

You say that but there was a fairly big protest in Washington on January 6th 2021 which has lead to one of the most radical governments in the last 200 years.

Trump is a fecking puppet this time but he's using the same tactics as last time and yet again the Dems the public and the media are all falling for it.

He's causing chaos. He's creating carnage and so many things he's doing and not doing that he should answer to are being overlooked or lost in the mass confusion he's causing. This time around it's also things those in his administration are doing too and they have had years to plan for this and are using Trump and his chaos to shield them. He's also helping things by employing the likes of Musk and RFK to completely dismantle and destroy and cause carnage too.

The only difference is this time he's not holding rallies once a week to bitch, moan and whine about how he's treated and to lambast those who he felt wronged him. He's just signing executive orders, posing for the cameras and playing golf 3 days a week and cheating to win competitions he's making millions from hosting at his resorts and repaying those who paid him off before he was elected.

Meanwhile in the background while everyone is distracted vaccines have been scrapped and are in short supply at the same time measles is rife in certain areas and the health secretary is promoting vitamin C as an adequate alternative. Insulin caps have been removed so they go from €$35 a month back up to $1500. Environmental protections have been stripped so raw sewage can be dumped in rivers, lakes and the ocean. Last year the US had a record number of visits to national parks yet park rangers and staff have been decimated and he's signed an order allowing 250 million acres of forest be cut down for lumber. (I wonder how much he got for that?)

The education department has been dismantled and teaching jobs and funding removed. World aid and FEMA funding cut at the same time people are dying from disasters around the world from earthquakes and in the US from tornados and flash flooding. Has he mentioned that at all? Or even the huge earthquakes in Asia and Oceania? Did he mention the 4 soldiers who died in Lithuania or attend their caskets being returned to the US? Oh, he didn't know about it and when he did it was a big truck... FFS. And when returned he was playing golf.

He doesn't give a flying feck. He's using tarrifs to attack countries who wronged him and he's alienated all his allies. Then he's off to play golf while those who spent years planning to use him as a useful idiot carry out their plans and implement Project 25.

They will let him grift and get the attention he craves while dismantling and then implementing everything they want.

Meanwhile the Press and Dems still don't know how to deal with him and fail to get almost anything over to the public. Get the message over how he's hurting them personally first then drive home how he's hurting the country, it's future and reputation after that. But no... The distractions and chaos is too great so they revert to type and end up as all over the place as Trump is.

The only hope is that this time he's causing so much carnage that it will affect his base supporters jobs, income and cost of living so much so they finally see the light.

Help me Bernie & AOC, you're the only hope.

Notice the Russian envoy using the term "deep state". Trying to influence the Trump administration?

True their king emperor is back in power which is all they care about. But also they are currently selling the wedding gifts from the 3rd divorce to afford a 6 pack of eggs.

It seems owning the libs does have a price.

Yes but that’s a price they are willing to pay or blame on the left.

White House advisers have kept Laura Loomer at bay for months. Then, Trump invited her in
President Donald Trump arranged for far-right activist Laura Loomer to join him in the Oval Office this week for an extraordinary meeting that preceded a shake-up of his national security leadership, two sources familiar with their meeting told CNN.
Within 24 hours of their meeting, the administration had fired the director and deputy director of the National Security Agency, the United States’ powerful cyber intelligence bureau, as well as staff members on the National Security Council. Loomer had advocated for their dismissal during her conversation with Trump, CNN previously reported.

Eggs were down 59% when he announced the tariffs. They must be almost free at this point?

Yet mostly ignored in the press which only reinforces the points made in my previous posts.

On a separate note..... Laura is Q Anon..... They have been really quiet lately. What's going on with those lunatics?
Kash Patel is now FBI director.

A 2018 Q drop previously mentioned Patel as "a name to remember." That history, along with Patel's rhetoric about the deep state and previous overtures to QAnon — which include signing copies of one of his children's books with a slogan associated with QAnon (he said he learned the slogan in a movie) and promoting an account called "Q" on Truth Social — have made Trump's pick to lead the FBI popular among QAnon followers.

Guess we'll see more of these 1-on-1 negotiations between Trump and other countries.

US, Vietnamese businesses ask Trump to delay 46% tariffs on Vietnam
U.S. and Vietnamese businesses have asked the Trump administration to delay its planned 46% tariff on Vietnamese goods, saying the levy will hurt them and bilateral commercial relations.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American Chamber of Commerce in Hanoi expressed concern to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick in a letter dated Saturday, saying the tariff, to take effect on Wednesday, was "shockingly high".
President Donald Trump and Vietnamese leader To Lam agreed on Friday to discuss a deal to remove tariffs, both said after a phone call that Trump called "very productive".

So much winning. Meanwhile China are set to implement retaliatory tarrifs of 34% on top of the 20% imposed by the USA.

I'm pretty sure China exports more to the US than Vietnam.

It's typical Trump being a bully coupled with his arrogance that has caused all this. Instead of going to each country/region and negotiating a deal he feels he needs to bully and intimidate first and feck the consequences and who will suffer. He's showing strength!

Ignore the fact he's looking like a fecking dumbass and just alienating his foes and allies even more as well as causing financial pain, chaos and uncertainty around the world.

Please, please, someone take him down a few pegs and show him up to be the cowardly feck he is.
